  • Hey everyone, my name is Rick Stone, thanks for watching my hiking/travel channel. March-April 2020, Ryne Manion and I thru-hiked the 160 River to River Trail, located in Shawnee National Forest of southern Illinois. 13 days was all it took to get addicted to the trail life, and throw the pandemic in the mix and you're looking at quite a memorable experience. March 2021 we are Thru-hiking the River to River Trail again, and this time no state park closures will stop us from our full experience! Iam currently vlogging hikes of different trails and prepping to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. Subscribe and follow along as I hike into a brighter future. Happy Trails!

Lusk creek is already open! A local station reported it. Probably the weather called it off.

Awesome video! I can't believe the big trash pile out there, it definitely wasn't there when I went through. Thanks for checking out my hike and I'm going to keep watching this series. New subscriber!!!!

@@RickStoneTravels Don Wall and I did one with rain most of the days. 2 guys dropped out the second day at Eddyville from weather, and another had an emergency at home, We DIDN'T have rain the first day though and got across those creeks with no problem. We did make it to the end but had to walk around some areas. (and ended up being picked up at the end of every day on the seconf half) I had no problem with people dropping out. You do what you have to do. BUT NEVER TRY TO SLEEP UNDER AN OVERPASS! Good luck and following.

@@AttorneyBCollins I slept under I-24 northbound last year. It was dry, not to shabby.
