I know that you made this comment about a month ago, I agree with you, I always wonder why they aren't more widely used, after all, the diff stays in the middle of the vehicle regardless of the height of the vehicle.
The calipers look like gm.if so are they large bore.speedway and other companys sell them and they fit anywhere a standard caliper fits and add 30% more stopping power .
Travis, you were heating the motor of the starter not the housing that houses the gear. The problem is that the grease on the starter shaft is frozen and you need to defrost it for the gear to be thrown out to the flywheel. I am assuming you are going to "C" notch the frame, that being the case I would suggest you go online to Bellos Kustoms and watch Mike Bello install four link on different cars.
Repeated comments about not greasing bearings, but nothing about missing seals… or nothing being torqued. Just a rough mock-up, done this a few times now, stuff always going on and off, no point till final assembly.
Where did you get those spindles from ?? ... I hate to say it but those are the scariest ones I've ever seen ... you've got a 4000 lb car applying G force on a hopefully noncompromised weld on both top and bottom ... I sure hope you realize that now you modified them you assume a lot of the liability if they for some reason fail ... I think I would try to gusset them if nothing else ... anytime you do chassis work for someone else you taking a chance ... just my thoughts ... don't want to see you have any problems later ...
It’s mock up. Settle down guys. You really think all the control arms bolted on are going to stay on a rusty/unpainted frame ? Come on. Use some common sense here.
I thought there was a new guy working with Jacob, but it was you Travis, sporting a new hair cut 😂
Thanks for another , Brother !
Don't forget to pack the bearings. Looks like a really fun project. Can't wait to see more.
Model A Looks Travis ‘s Galaxy gonna be a good one Nice Haircut
Much better hair style now was getting jealous of how much you had LOL
Beautiful work on the A, I'm sure the Galaxie will be just as nice. By the way nice hair cut.
I hope so!
The model a sedan you just finished must be 3 times stronger than stock, almost like unibody, great job!
Thanks, it sure was rigid!
The 4 link works with a panhard bar but works much better with a watts link setup.

Great videos. Move to Southern CA.
Light a candle or 2 and put under starter.we did this on tractors.broken bendix spring
My dad had a 41ford in the winter he would clean the ashes out of wood stove and put them under the oil pan to worm the oil
That’s neat, never heard that before
I like the way you have a short preview before the intro. I t may be time for a fresh intro though.
Good luck on the Galaxy

Yeah I figured frozen grease was the culprit. I’ve done my fair share of 4 links also. Bellos does a good job

THANK YOU!!
Never run dry bearings even for mock up. Don't have to pack fully, just like body tools finish is compromised from transferring irregularities.
Who makes the front a arm kit
Your starter is working it the silinoid that engages the starter to the flywheel that isn't working quit banging on it till you fix the silenoid
And seals
Freezing cold and ears lowered ...
How ya gonna stay warm with that haircut 😅😅😮
Why didn’t you pack the bearings and put the seal in place?
I’m mocking it up, gonna blow it apart later. No point in getting greasy
I've heard of hitting it with a hammer or crowbar, but never blowtorch.😂
Use the Save-a-door Dali.

Real men have short hair! Comfort over mane.
Sucks to have my OCD. I hope the chassis is not left bare metal.
