My Mum was from Notts. and told me Gotham was being eyed as a location for a royal palace. The locals, not wanting a yuppie magnate invasion, pretended to be dim to put them off living in the area ;)
My favourite maritime situation was the American ships' Captain who kept threatening something they saw on their radar..every time they threatened to run into them there was no response..till the American Captain was so aggressive...a response from the target replied with ...We are a lighthouse over!!!!!
The ship HMS Cockchafer was named after the beetle of the same name. The beetle's scientific name is Melolontha melolontha. It's also known as the Maybug because the adults are often out and about in May. They're known for being terrible fliers. They frequently bump into things.

Marvelous and interesting read about how different countries use mathematics and arithmetic and the stories behind their creation.
Kevin Bridges never went to Basic Training. In the Harmony Church barracks at Ft Benning there were no stalls for the toilets. They were built just before WW1. No doors, no walls, nothin. Just the sh*tter and a roll on the wall. 😉

@20:10 you don´t get proper nostalgia these days.. I remember when there was true yearning for days gone by, the lure of yesteryear, but alas, no more.. Nowadays, everything moves so fast, that even memories have become instantaneous, always remembered now.. fleeting like everything else. People used to really hold on to nostalgia as well, but now it’s often diluted by the speed of life and the flood of distractions. It's like we’re constantly looking forward, even when we’re looking back.. I wonder how bad this´s gonna get, before it gets better again.
I dont get why there are trump jokes, the guy has been better for the USA more than anyone ever has been, and at the same time, he's actually getting shit done.
If not, I implore you to look into it yourself. Trump is a danger to the US economy… He doesn’t know what he’s doing and he’s too arrogant to listen to anyone else. There’s a reason many of his businesses went bankrupt. Whether you like his social policies or not is for sure a matter of opinion & you are more than entitled to that. But economically, he is one of the worst people to ever enter office, and that isn’t up for debate. It’s just a fact, I’m afraid.
Sandi is amazing. Funny and super intelligent. Loved her on who’s line is it anyway and really enjoying her work on QI. So funny ♥️

That one isn't real, altough the video is great.

111 is eleventy-first, so I guess Tolkien fans might?

The burping segment is clearly nonsense. Decibels are a logarithmic scale, so 117 dB burp is 100,000,000 times louder than a 109 dB burp.
That’s a slightly misunderstood way of thinking about the difference in Db levels
