      Did you expect some magic. If you want to save battery, you have to save energy. For those who what's the use if I disable everything, the only choice in smartwatches is either a long battery life and few functions, or a lot of functions and poor battery life. Apple watches are the same or worse. There's no avoiding it. Remember that watches are small and therefore can't house a big battery. The Galaxy watch 1st iteration had better battery life, but it was really bulky; I'd rather have a comfortable watch on my wrist for hours and charge it when at home for an hour or even half an hour.

    I've turned the heartbeat sensor to manual only, but most of the times when I take off my watch, I can see the sensor's green light turned on, like it's trying to read my heartbeat rate. Don't know how to fully turn it off, I feel like sometimes it still tries to read the heartbeat rate, even on manual only mode.

    • @mahmoudelsayed8073
      @mahmoudelsayed8073 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's most likely not for heart rate monitoring. From my understanding, it does this to check that your watch is on your wrist so it can provide certain functionality. For example, if you use the always on display, it will check to make sure the watch is on your wrist. If it finds that the watch isn't on your wrist, it will turn off the always on display. Similarly, if you have a password on your watch, it checks if the watch is on your wrist so that when your remove the watch, it locks the watch automatically. Those are the two I can think of at the moment.
      You can try checking your heart rate data in the Samsung Health app on your phone (or maybe your watch) to see if you have any 'automatic/periodic' readings that are in there at the times when you've set heart rate measurements to manual. I would expect that during workouts, it would check your heart rate continuously regardless of what setting you have, although I haven't personally tried it.

    • @ptkmdBR
      @ptkmdBR 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mahmoudelsayed8073 Thank you, my friend. It really can be the watch checking if it's still on my wrist. But most of the times this happens as soon as I take it off after a workout session. So maybe it is indeed trying to check the heartrate after a workout, regardless of setting to manual mode.
