You're amazing. Thank you for sharing your talent and abilities with us and also for "warning" us about how long something is going to take. You are the first craft/creative person at TH-cam that has done that. Sincerely, Laura-Lee
Peter, thank you for showing us how to follow your directions and we end up making truly spectacular floral creations, fit for kings and queens. I accidently ran into your TH-cam video, and I am jumping for joy to have found your site. You are truly a genius. Thank you for posting. Peggy Briggs Aubry
Wow I adore your accent. What an elegant card! So beautiful and finally easy to create too. At fist I thought the petals were pasted together but it's a whole new dimension. These are slots. So easy to follow and well explained especially with that smile on your face. Thanks for sharing and caring. xxx
Thanks so much Peter.Y're so talented. I have subscribed to your channel. I am an addicted crafter, started when I was 6 years but I am never too old to learn something new. Y're a genius. Great job.
Peter you are amazing that you figured out how to put this flower together!!!! It took me 2 hours on just the flower part. Now on to the rest of it. I love it!!! Thanks for sharing your art with us.
Dear Ceci Zapata, thank you very much for your kind feedback! I am very happy that you could create this pop-up card from my tutorial - and that you friend liked it. Best wishes from Germany to Peru!
Thanks 4 your designs show, does RECALLS during Elementary our teacher taught us these things, she has graduated from abroad. Not all students were able 2 make it except a few but those God-given talents enjoyed much & suggested other ideas just like yours. Your good hearted sharing everyone save funds & they're fun 2 do. Can even teach others especially those whose poor could sell at affordable price, supports their well-being.
I watched this video 6 years ago to create a school project. It took me a week to create this single pop up card. Thank you for creating this wonderful video.
This is so absolutely beautiful and very clever. Peter, you are a truly gifted craftsman!!! Thank you for posting this tutorial. I intend to give it a try. Hand made gifts like this are well appreciated, I think. Much nicer than any store bought card.
Thank you, dear RenaVika,, for your kind words. I am happy that you STILL like it, even though the design is already 7 years old :) All the best, Peter
I made one using flowered velum and textured solid paper for my sister's birthday. The hardest part for me was keeping the parts of the flower I assembled from separating while I added the rest. Guess my hands were a bit small. I came up with a solution of using small paperclips to hold the ends together while I worked on it. The end result was fantastic! Thank you so much for this tutorial. You are a very talented artist and do great tutorials.
I have tried this card and the outcome was extraordinarily fantastic. Awesome work. Thanks for posting this tutorial. Even the steps explained were very clear.
Very nice! I am going to show my class of accelerated 5th and 6th grade students in Indianapolis, Indiana your tutorials so they can make cards for Mother's Day. Thanks for all of the great free resources!

This is a fantastic project. I made this a few weeks ago, and I miserably failed. But I was able to see my mistakes and I am going to try it again. Probably, I'll be able to minimize 9 hrs to half an hour? Thanks again, fantastic flower. Keep it up.
Thank you so much Mr.Peter Dahmen .I tried it several times, it was so hard, but I succeeded at my 3rd attempt! hurayyyyyyyyy !!! i feel so happy. I'm sure my boy friend is going to love it and it will be a big surprise for him on his b'day ! i wish i could show you what i created but there is no way i can attach a picture of it here, right? Thank you again and again. I was so fascinated by the paper creations you do. Good luck ! Your the best paper artist ever !
Dear +Chathurka Jinasena , many thanks for your kind comment! I am very happy that you like my paper pop up designs! Yes, of course, your boyfriend will like your pop up card!! Teacher Mr. Petersir, first of all I would like to wish you Merry christmas! Today I watched your second video on three dimentional leaves . Am trying to simplify it for my own knowledge and whenever I complete the whole colour tutorial, I will definately let you know. I must salute the german engineering sir.
It is just amazing to watch the video. The language is very simple and helps to understand each and every step. Thanks Mr. Petersir for this beautiful card making video. It is like as a nice course dinner which I would like to have again and again. Just marvellous.. beauuuutttiful and I am trying to make it . You are a very nice teacher who simplified the process. Happy diwali.
Peter you are awesome!!! and you incredible pop up cards are so beautiful I have already made two of these as gifts and would love to see more tutorial like this especial one for you giant pop up card flower in small, Veilen Dank Jesaja
I love the final product but I must admit that the speed of the video for the initial connection of part (1) and (2, 4, 6, 8). Any similar videoes with slower explanation?
Ich habe genau nach dieser Methode wanddekos gemacht.Einfach die Downloads vergrössert und es sieht Wahsinnig toll aus.War der Hingucker uaf meiner Party.Danke für die tolle Idee und ROCK ON! ;)
Peter, very cool and pretty. I subscribed to your channel and will follow you on facebook as well. I very much appreciate how well you describe each step and that the video is from our perspective. That makes such a difference. I have not tried to do this project as of yet, I needed a quick how to, and you said not a 'quickie' card so will wait another day. But am looking forward to trying it soon!
Dear Peter, I had seen your video of large, elaborate white on white pop up cards on le zap de spion on TH-cam. How wonderful to happen upon your tutorials while I was researching earth science physical geography! No relationship, of course, but there was a selection of your videos which made me very happy as I had been wanting to learn how you make the popup cards. Thank you for sharing your talent, creativity, craftsmanship, art, and designs with the world. Thank you also for great verbal step-by-step instructions and unobstructed videos of every step. Thank you for the printouts, too. You are a good man, and I wish you great success in life. My best to your family also. Linda Lee
Dear Peter, I already made this flower pop up card and It was pretty, now I will do in different colors for gifts Mother's Day. I thank you for sharing this beautiful work...
Hi Mister Peter or Peter, whichever you prefer, sir, I just want to say I am really glad for you and proud of you, thank you for being an artist and for being here in this world, thank you for being extremely beautiful and magical, I really wish you all the best, I hope That we can communicate in the future if you want to. Note: English is not my first language, so I'm really sorry if there are a lot of mistakes.
Please have a closer look at the video (Part one), especially at the seconds from 5:40 to 7:00 Maybe it helps, if you switch on the english subtitles. Make sure, that you keep all the folding lines - don’t fold the piece flat!! The final „flower“ does NOT look like a FULL circle. Make sure, that you can see the printed numbers on the sides (as seen in the video at 6:57). Each piece has still it’s „zig zag“shape, but they are connected to one large element. At 7:02 you can see, how the element shall look, when you connect it to the next element of the flower. I hope that this will help you to create your own peony pop-up card! I wish you every success and much fun. With all best, Peter

If you can only buy water-based glue in your area - or if you are working with small children - then you can also use water-based glue. A glue stick will also work. I hope you find my answers helpful and have fun and good luck making your own pop up cards! All the best, Peter
How do you print the pink highlights on the white peony? Do I have to do it manually (if so, please advise on how to do it the fastest and prettiest way)? Appreciate your soonest reply.

You are AMAZING!!!...Your work is AWESOME!!!...I found your video, and suddenly all my cares just fade away.
Did you color the flower at 0:08 yourself or is there a colored template that might be available?
Peter Dahmen Papierdesign Thank you for your advice! I tried to add the gradients and printed them out. Let's see if it would work out as the assembly goes :P
Animo
♥ so eine schöne Ideen für ein Valentinsgrußkarte! ♥
Advice, use sharp scissors. If planing red flower, make those grey areas black.
Great videos, thanks for sharing it :)
Wonderful! What kind of glue is used that will not warp the paper?
Dear Anne Quinn, to glue the petals, I used solvent based glue. Since ingredients vary in different countries, I can't recommend a particular brand. If you can only buy water-based glue in your area - or if you are working with small children - then you can also use water-based glue. In this case, you should press the parts together for a longer time. Pressing them together will keep the paper from curling too much.
Do not use liquid glue to glue the backs, because it is difficult to apply it evenly. I used double-sided adhesive sheeting to adhere the backs. You can also use double sided tape. A glue stick will also work. I hope you find my answers helpful and have fun and good luck making your own pop up cards! All the best, Peter
How do you print the pink highlights on the white peony? Do I have to do it manually (if so, please advise on how to do it the fastest and prettiest way)? Appreciate your soonest reply.

t's wonderful.but pls tell me where to take print out of those templates
Hi Peter,
Nice work. Made it in first attempt.
However, first time, i made the crease too hardly with a pen so that the petal brocken while assembling,
so I thought of an idea to make the perfect creases using the lines.
Thanks once again for sharing such a wonderful card.
hey pradeep, could you share your idea to make perfect creases without breaking/tearing petals/leaves! sure would appreciate it. thx : )
Amazing your are so clever. I have just completed the dahlia card and an delighted with it.

Awesome, I love your job, and thanks for the videos, for the pdf, for all...one million thanks.
Hey, does anyone know where I can print out paper that weights heavier than regular paper? Around how much would that cost me?
Also, is cutting board pen necessary for this? I kind of just started doing DIYs and I'm not quite sure that it's used for. How's it different from a razor? Thanks!! :)
+Pixel Bunnay you can't print heavier paper. You have to buy heavier paper, like cardstock, at your office supply or crafting store. Examples can be poster board, cardstock, etc.
