Great old Ray Price song, Mo did it justice!!! This tribute show was done after Ray’s death. That is Ray’s wife sitting with Bill Anderson. During this same show T Graham Brown sings “Nightlife” with the great Buddy Emmons in attendance. Buddy Emmons is probably the greatest steel player in the history of country music and was a member of Ray’s Cherokee Cowboys band back in the day.. The steel player on the show was nervous because he was playing this particular song in front of Buddy Emmons.

This was in tribute to Ray not long after he passed. The beautiful lady in blue is Ray's widow. There's a really cool story about how this song was written. Hank was at a function of country writers and singers. Hank's wife at the time walked up to him and jumped on him for no reason. Hank said don't you ever get tired of hurting me? Jack Greene was standing there. Jack said you know Hank you should write that

I bet your list is 3 miles long, lol.. But someday, listen to a couple of George Jones songs not as well known. " When the Grass Grows Over Me" and " No Blues is Good News". They show the range and scope of his vocals so well, they are absolutely addictive. NOBODY ever will surpass his voice, and few even get near him. Mo sure comes close.

Hey Don! Hank Cochran wrote this song. Hank was a singer and an amazing song writer. He wrote songs for many artists including Merle Haggard and George Strait.Ray Price covered several of Hank's songs. My favorite Ray Price song is "For The Good Times" which was written by the amazing Kris Kristofferson. When you get a chance do some research on both Hank and Ray. Mo is so cute and definitely keeping it country. As always good to see your face. Also subs keep growing. Nice!

What a gifted singer. It isn't just because he is trying to protect the legacy of the great country singers, he would have been very popular during their times, too. But, I fear that he will have a very difficult time breaking into the big time, with the monster hit producers of so called 'modern country' music. He is almost like a great 'big band' sound group trying to make it in the rock-n-roll era. I actually really love his blue grass work with John Meyer even more. I wish that they could break out with their very energetic sound together into the market also.
