I have to try this one day. Here in New Zealand there are some lakes down south that freeze over in the winter so maybe I could try with one of them but I think they are mainly used for ice skating.

@@diego.suomessa Yeah i have a summer cottage near tampere. during midwinter we sometimes use the chainsaw because the ice is so thick. then we use a pump that creates a current which prevents new ice from forming. that way we can use it for weeks.

Here in Finland during mid winter its a struggle. The ice is so damn thick that its really a struggle to make a hole in the ice.
