It's got a freeform style for most of it I can appreciate, jazzy and abstract, but when the basslines come in it actually starts to flow. Definitely keep these samples for later.
Frankly speaking, it sounds rather dubious, but I respect the author for the difficult work, which requires a lot of effort and understanding of such music. I wish the author successful development of his creativity. JET SET RADIOOOOOOO!
What a very thoughtful comment :'') But yeah it's a difficult style to reproduce, especially considering how Hideki Naganuma is a child prodigy who went on to work for Sega after years of experience, whereas I'm some dude who started making tracks last year for fun lol I hope to improve a lot more in the future :D!
@@sosusmusic5352 But I must admit, you have managed to adopt many of the personalities of this style! You're doing great, but it's worth working on the melody itself and where you put the samples. The melody comes out too strange and everything is mixed into it at once, as if you were trying to imitate Hideki Naganuma's music and tried to repeat all his musical techniques without fully realizing their work. I still wish you good luck, my friend, you have a great *Jet Set Radio* Future ;)
I was suspecting that but wasn't sure :'') Thanks for the support though! And yeah I'll keep making stuff, I am still a beginner so I have still so much to learn...
That's cool, feel free to tell me when it's done so that I can listen to your track :) As for Naganuma's style, he himself just tried to replicate Captain Funk for Jet Set Radio, so I suggest you listen to him as well for inspiration!
@@sosusmusic5352 yooooo imma definitely let you know when I upload it I think ill do it this weekend also Ive never heard of captain funk I can feel the inspiration building gonna go look him up now !
The Malcolm X Sample is the famous one but I bet an MLK sample got used by Naganuma atleast once, if not in an official sountrack then in one of his unreleased tracks
Can't wait till the new Jet Set Radio doesn't do this Original Jet. ... nice city style rap rock R&B Future Jet.... straight up hear rap3 nonsense with no rhythmic story.
Depends on who's going to do the OST for it, I don't think they'll bring back Naganuma for it, so it'll most likely be by just the 'SEGA Soundteam' and include some licensed tracks, either way I expect it to sound a lot more 'modern' than JSR, no 90s samples this time around...
jsrf ost slander will not be tolerated. It's basically a nice techno dance OST, you haven't listened to jsrf songs enough. You're telling me fly like a butterfly has no rhythmic story. That's gotta be some bullshit. BUT yea, i bet the new jsrf will be trap music.... sigh I hope its not the case.
the chorus is so spot on with hidekis style, so good !!
Don't think that it's intentional, all my tracks are accidents :''D
@@sosusmusic5352 lol, happy accidents like that are blessings, they’re like the best way to learn from what u did and improve
Practice makes perfect as well :)
youtube hooked me up today, goated recommendation. Really captured Naganuma's style. must follow from me
Thanks so much for that!
You have no idea how much your comment affected me xD
Certified banger cooking up in here 🔥
Thanks, hopefully i can make something better soon though :'')

Yeah I do struggle with that, but it's something that, with practice you begin to intuit :)
@@sosusmusic5352 Absolutely✌️
only 300 views as of 9/15. this is gonna blow up 'cuz it's so spot on.

What a groove. Glad to be here.
Thanks, quite proud of it myself, especially with all the attention it's been getting :'')
Please don't ever think about deleting this it's so hard
Wow thanks :'')
And don't worry, it's not going anywhere
If Hideki Naganuma was a member of Turquoise October
Splatoon carried the torch of Jet Set Radio until Bomb Rush Cyberfunk came out :D
I am looking at the funk... respectfully
I have no what you mean but I hope you have fun doing that :D!

Excellent
Maybe I should sample Mr.Burns saying that ;)
funky!
Thanks for the compliment :'')
THIS GOES SO HARD PLEASE MAKE FMORE😭
I tried to make a similar track but it didn't sound as nice, maybe third time's the charm :D!
sounds like a beta song, kinda getting there keep it up
Thanks! It's my second attempt at the style and I'm an amateur, so future (pun not intended) tracks will sound more authentic

Next time I might sample Black Panther Party speeches as well ;P
Hell yeah BJ
