72 correct. I love brussel sprouts, I think they're nature's candy. I bet you had an interesting search history after looking for images to go with question 45
Nice score. Nature's candy is carrot cake 🤣 sprouts are nature's punishment. With my search history I'm surprised I don't get a visit from the authorities, - Semtex, boobies 🤣
69/75 for Team Harlow on this Friday evening. Some of those alternative answers were tricky but we managed to guess our way up to a nice score. Thank you for your effort Ben 😮.
Ben, that was an excellent quiz. I got 70/75. I am a regular viewer of your channel and I always hit the thumbs-up. I've made Brussels sprouts with Thanksgiving dinner many times.
@@Quizzes4U You don't like Brussels Sprouts?! Sorry about that. I usually make Green Bean Casserole, but it; 's nice to serve something different every year. Yes, those tiny cabbages are popular here in the US.
Greetings from British Columbia, Canada, Ben! I scored 8 incorrect answers today. As for Brussels sprouts, I'm really not crazy about them. But I'll eat a couple if I happen to be at someone else's table -- to be polite and all that. 😊😂
@Quizzes4U -- Hi, Ben! Even if you don't read comments from me, it doesn't mean that I'm not following your quizzes, my friend (I know you were joking, by the way 😂). I've been immersed in bird videos lately, to distract my sore head from the major -- and extremely noisy -- renovations happening around my housing complex. I've also been writing a lot of poetry for those channels. But I'm back, Ben, regardless of the low scores in my future. 🤗😍
@@melstiller8561 Hey Mel! Lovely to know you are doing the quizzes even when you don't comment. But I always love to see your comments. Ben's quizzes are always so good! ♥♥♥
Two things. 1)The true Atkins Diet is misunderstood. He only wanted patients to cut carbs for two weeks in order to reverse insulin resistance. The dieter was then supposed to add carbohydrates gradually, while testing their urine. Ideally the results would show the dieter how to maintain their ideal carb tolerance. 2) I never knew the origin of Buffalo Wings. I could never figure out how chicken wings related to buffaloes. Thanks for the info!
You are right about the original Atkins diet being high in fats for the first 2 weeks. Unfortunately, many people found they stopped losing weight right once they started to add more carbs back into their diet, so they stayed on the high-fat and protein version of the diet much longer than recommended to maximize their weight loss.
Glad you love my quizzes, thank you. In regards to the question, I can't remember the exact wording I used, but the first press, which is "cold" produces extra virgin olive oil. Sorry if I made an error. 😁
46 right answers, it could be one more or less because I got a bit confused while counting… for me this is actually a quite good score!! 😂 But in my defense, English is not my mother language and I’ve never lived in an English speaking country, so… with some questions and answer options I just don’t have a clue what the word’s meaning is. I might score better in my own language 😇😇😇 Anyways, I enjoy your quizzes a lot. Thank you!
71/75 in this one Ben, an easier quiz than normal I thought, but still fun! Brussel sprouts for some reason only have them at Christmas.. I think it was mum and dad’s way of telling us not everything is good at Christmas time. 😂😂😂
Maybe a bit easier. It's so difficult to judge when you play lots of quizzes. I've been watching old Millionaire shows to try to judge the level, as I don't want to make them too difficult for people who don't play quizzes all the time. Oh, and you are right about sprouts. Nothing better to ruin a good Christmas dinner. 😂
Hello Ben. Nice jacket. My compliments to your tailor. I thought the Atkins diet was: you shoot the doctor then live on bread and water. Works like a charm. Nice quiz... more science, please! Happy holidays... Please don't take offence: the music is so... erm... depressing. With your sonorous voice... do you really need it? Cheers!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes it wasn't a tough one. The last one was a bit too difficult, so I tried to make this one easier. It's always very difficult to judge them just right, especially as I've been making them for a long while. What seems easy for a regular quiz player isn't necessarily easy for a wider audience. My aim is always for as many people as possible to enjoy them, do well and learn a few new facts. 😁 Thanks for playing 😁
Yeah I don't like to get political, but I got a ton of comments on an old quiz saying he wasn't born in the US. In fact more than I get about the moon landings being fake or the earth being flat. 😳
I didn't. You have misunderstood the reason I made that comment. I only acknowledged that in the past I've had a lot of comments from people who disagreed with that fact. I am not saying they are my thoughts or that I agree with them, only acknowledging that there are people who don't agree with the facts. I also often say something similar when talking about the moon landings, as I get many commitments that they were faked. I hope that clarifies it.
Matryoshka is not "little mother" in russian, it's an endearing name for Matryona, a common female name "for a peasant girl" in the past (not so much anymore). It is used sometimes as a symbol of motherhood, true, by putin's propaganda among others.
I found many references that it does. Here's one from the centre for Russian studies. The word Matryoshka comes from the Russian name Matryona, which means little mother. The Russian word for mother is mat' (мать). Any Russian viewers, please comment below. Many thanks.
@@Quizzes4U gotcha. As far as I know, the name Matryona doesn't mean anything little (it sounds "big and bulky" in russian, I think that's why it's no longer popular) and it doesn't mean "mother".
