It is important to precise it, he keeps it African, BLACK.
Anthentic black women, authentic black men, anthentic african culture. Period. (Some hypocrites won't get the point, but no time for "drama idiots". This is a real talk here). African singers usually don't make us dream, this is always the same thing: Singer with glasses, club, Caramel girl as the lead girl, dancers in the BG..Where are we in that? When am I suppose to say "Omg this is goal, I want that, because I can see myself in it"?
Here this is so different. Watch his others music videos : Wave, Give you love, Early... The way he takes his time to show and let us appreciate those women (and men! )..their faces, their smiles, their expressions, even their personalities ..Exemple to illustrate my point: In 'wave' (GO watch it !), he incorporated beautiful pictures, and some cartoons representing a cute date between a man and his girl (on a road trip, making the Titanic pose).. Plus his characteristic smooth beat..He makes us dream and chill !
I hope you see what I mean! This is so rare. He really makes a connection, an interaction between men and women, and gives credits to African Love and culture. All of this in a modern, traditional, and artistic way. This is beautiful, simple, relaxing, and real. It brings confidence in us. Being one hundred percent us, and keeping it this way is what we need. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Jules, Mr easi, Odunsi, (MV: 'desire' ), Partoranking, Liquideep (MV: fairytale), Eddy Kenzo, P square.. All of them encourage me to go back to my continent and being part of an anthentic 'African society'.
I look extra ( In part because of my bad English), but when you think abt it, it's a deep subject.

Like it. I always felt we needed to see more darkskinned pure african women in the entertainmement industry to bring serenity and closure. It brings condidence to the black man women and kids

Its not a light dark problem. I am just expressing that we as black people need to see our original features on the screen too. They play light verses dark and young darkskinned girls dont have representation which negatively affects their confidence. It puts them off from wanting to create darker offspring. Because some all they see is light skinned are teased or go through emotional problems, or see that you have to be lighter to get opportunities they date men to get white or lightskinned men to improve their prospects amd are always seeing or hearing us talk about light chicks. But we dont just like white or light skinned we want dark skinned chicks too. I love all true african women regardless of their skintone religion or geographical location they are from
