◇ What is Kongobu-ji Temple? Mount Koya in Wakayama Prefecture is a world-famous site registered as a World Heritage Site along with the Kumano Sanzan and Yoshino-Omine as "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range". Mount Koya was opened as a Zen training center by Kukai (Kobo Daishi), the founder of Shingon Buddhism, at the beginning of the Heian period. Kongobu-ji Temple was originally synonymous with Mount Koya as the head temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect.
◇ Ogami Shrine is said to be the oldest shrine in Japan. The object of worship is Mount Miwa itself, and there is no main hall. Instead, worship is directed toward the mountain from the worship hall through the three torii gates. Mount Miwa is a sacred mountain where Omononushi-no-Okami (Okuni-sama), who opened the country, left his soul. It is a sacred place that has been revered as a "mountain where gods dwell" since long before it was called a "power spot".
◇ Kinpusen-ji Temple is the symbol of Mount Yoshino and the fundamental training center for Shugendo. Kinpusen is a general term for the mountains from Mount Yoshino to Mount Sanjogadake (Mount Omine), and means "golden mountain." It serves as the gateway to Mount Omine-san Temple on Mount Sanjogadake. The date of its founding is unknown, but it is said that En no Gyoja opened Kinpusen long ago, and that Shobo Rigen Daishi enshrined the Zao Gongen statue during the Heian period.

◇ 金剛峯寺とは 「紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道」として熊野三山と吉野・大峯とともに世界文化遺産に登録され、世界的に名高い和歌山県高野山。 高野山は、平安時代のはじめに真言宗の宗祖である空海（弘法大師）によって修禅の道場として開かれました。 金剛峯寺というのは、もともと高野山真言宗の総本山としての高野山全体と同義でした。
◇ 大神神社は、日本最古の神社といわれています。 ご神体は三輪山そのもので、本殿はなく、拝殿から三ツ鳥居を通して山に向かって拝みます。 三輪山は国を開いた大物主大神（大国様）が御魂を留めたという霊山。 「パワースポット」と称されるよりはるか昔から「神の宿る山」として崇められてきた聖地です。
◇ 金峯山寺は吉野山のシンボルであり修験道の根本道場です。 金峯山とは吉野山から山上ヶ岳（大峰山）にいたる山々の総称で、“金のみたけ”という意味。 山上ヶ岳にある大峰山寺への玄関口の役割を持っています。 創立年代は不明ですが、その昔、役行者が金峯山を開き、平安時代に聖宝理源大師が蔵王権現像を安置したといわれています。
