I would not be saying much as you are in the area of yamadori collector haven in washington and oregon area. I'm kinda jelly....i need to make a video tour of several nurseries up in your area.

@@Eddie_freeflow504 You have bald cypress and pond cypress in NO! Totally be collecting those materials! Also tropical plants would be somthing I would be looking at. Or any native species....look at some nurseries in your area that may not be pure bonsai.

Marianne Yamaguchi is a fountain of knowledge about all plants! And she’s keeping the memory of her father alive with her bonsai trees and nursery.

She totally is! Not many of these small business left competing with the big box stores.

Great to see the nursery again. It's been a while since I attended the CBS After Thanksgiving Sale. The trees look wonderful, Marianne.
The first place I took classes in bonsai was at Yamaguchi Nursery in the early 1990's with the great team of Kaz Yoneda and Sam Nakano. I fondly remember that classroom and the bonsai friends I met there. I met my neighbor Hank Fawcett there. He had been taking classes there before I started.

    Awesome tour!
Are Satsuki super difficult in SoCal? Maybe I should just give up on them (and J maples too perhaps)... and just stick with conifers, tropicals, fruits.

Satsuki arent super difficult just need a bit more care than other trees in southern cal. Mostly is having higher humidity than what we have here normally.
