Making a card golden doubles the base stats then adds enchantments... Maybe the trinket has some weird code where it's setting the attack as a base stat, then making the unit golden doubles that new "base" stat? Makes me wonder if bronze timepiece would have a similar interaction or not.
Wow, can't believe Bofur found fresh Blizzard spaghetti rivalling even sky pirate interactions. I think golden poet is just the most broken card of all time.
It has to do with making cards golden for sure. Similar to end of turn battle cry make golden stops the end of turn effect because the game sees it as a separate card. I guess the game is setting stats to the non golden, then assigning the stats to the golden card. Instead of setting… it something Super interesting interaction, fun video
Looks to me it’s setting the stats the same as others than the golden effect happens which goldens the card as if 2 of the same stats combined to double it?
@@aidan8071 I’m thinking it sets the stats and then golden due to trinket triggering before minions so then the poet sees the now golden minion as a new minion and saves double the set stats because of yulon’s trigger. I havent ran into yulon and golden poet doubling stats other than this trinket interaction. But i assume based on golden+non golden aggem combo, and how end of turn t7 can prevent end of turn battlecry if it goldens the other battlecry that its treated as a new card unrelated to the trinket… but remembers its original stats before the trinket so the game just lets poet write beautiful dragonic poety and convices the devs to allow this to happen
Is it to do with golden poet? Like the poet sees the game setting the adjacent minions attack as a buff, so the golden version then doubles whatever attack is added?

it makes sense if the trinket says "set" in the text. It sets the base stats to the highest, then goldens
They did that with the last hearthstone expansion as well, they accidentally made the whole set available for a small bit when they announced it

Is this the reason when sometimes Sanders+Murkeye sometimes just stops triggering battlecrys?

@@monolese yes. You have to order them to have the t7 trigger last

Funny bug!
Cool find
Imagine if Kooky Chemist was still in the game tho...
