As someone who loves characters with wings & therefore draws them fairly frequently: can confirm. getting wing anatomy correct is an absolute pain, but it’s definitely worth it. Especially when the end result is something as beautiful as this drawing.

I know I should probably just mind my own business but, even though the drawing has a breathtaking effect and I can perfectly perceive the pain it causes....there is one thing I don't fully understand.. why doesn't she fly? that is, it's a pony with wings, and from the drawing they don't even seem defective or damaged so... why?
Is this when Cloudy is young enough to not know when to fly or are the chains keeping her from flying somehow? Lovely art and I really love the colours!

1. I cant remember I took breaks a lot so time was hard to keep track of. I finished it over a couple of days. 2. I use Tool paint sai v2 3. Yes, I use the Gaomon PD1560

I draw wings all the time but I don’t think it’s much of a pain to draw them. But it takes YEARS to get the proportions right.

She's an adult here! The chains are more metaphorical than anything
