Man, I love your discussions and thoughts in these Spiritbox videos about the band. I can't really add anything to it because I think you already said everything what had to be said - I can totally agree with everything you both said. Amazing band. They are different but everything they do, they do it right. I am so damn excited for the future with Spiritbox. It's so crazy to see what happened and how they grew since I've had the chance to see and meet them live last year on their tour. Eternal Blue is gonna be the album of the year - no doubt about that. Another masterpiece and there are even more to come
Hey guys. Awesome songs and you made great points. For new (to the channel) bands to check out I would suggest would be EarlyRise, Four Year Strong, and Make Them Suffer. EarlyRise were an alt rock band from Tel Aviv, Israel that sound like a more rock/less metal version of like Evanescence or Flyleaf. All the songs on their album What If are awesome. I don't know if you guys already know Four Year Strong but they are a pop punk band that fuses that sound with metalcore elements such as screaming/gang vocals, synths, and breakdowns. Their first few albums were more firmly in the easycore genre (think The Wonder Years debut album) but now they have more of an alt rock feel in their pop punk sound. All their songs are awesome but I would start with songs like "Maniac (R.O.D)", "Prepare to Be Digitally Manipulated", "Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die", or "Beatdown in the Key of Happy" off their amazing album Rise or Die Trying. Lastly, Make Them Suffer are a metalcore/deathcore band from Australia. Their first few albums were deathcore and their last two albums are metalcore. From the deathcore era I would suggest Neverbloom as the song to check out. From the metalcore era I would suggest Drown With Me or Erase Me to start. Erase Me was one of my favorite metalcore songs of 2020 and the entire album How To Survive a Funeral is amazing.
Could’ve waited another few hours to see the video. They’ve all played metal growing up, and Mike and I had a conversation a while ago about how they wanted to do something that would be more melodic and sustainable. Mike missed a full tour with his first band because of tendinitis back in the day (like around 2010 if I’m not mistaken). This stuff isn’t as rough on their bodies in general, but still crazy heavy at times, melodic at others, etc.
btw if you're after suggestions a band I've been getting into lately is Paledusk, dunno if you've listened to them but they don't get many views or listens so maybe not. Their newer stuff is really interesting and pretty out there
Great discussion as always guys

Thanks dude and couldn't agree more!
Great points here. Getting this genre more accessible means the genre will grow. Personally loved this song so much.

Also, you guys should react to any of the songs on Softcult’s EP titled “Year Of The Rat.”
