Hiking in Hocking Hills Ohio: Conkle's Hollow Upper rim trail
Ohio has some amazing hiking spots if you just look for them. So hiking in Ohio can be pretty rewarding. We had an overnight hammock camping and hiking trip in Hocking Hills, Ohio. The upper rim trail in Conkle's Hollow has some amazing views. At times you can easily imagine that some of the overlooks are in the Smoky Mountains.
My friends and I decided to have an overnight camping and hiking trip in Hocking Hills, Ohio. We decided to spend the evening at a campground in Rockbridge, Ohio along the river. In this series you'll see us do some riverside hammock camping (with some tent camping by my friends).

When we woke up that morning Josh tagged me in a facebook page post of Rockbridge Falls. Since we were in Rockbridge we decided to make that the first stop. So worth it. Check out the awesome footage of this natural formation.

Our next stop was Rockhouse. Supposedly the only natural complete cave in the Hocking Hills area. It was also very neat. This entire trip was actually perfect hiking weather. It did rain quite a bit but it helped keep the temperature down and also kept fair weather hikers away. This meant overall there were less people on the trail than usual.

The final stop was Conkle's Hollow. The Gorge trail (about a mile) is very easy. It would be great to do with kids but is still very scenic and worth the trip. This "trail" is actually just a wide sidewalk from the entrance all the way to the falls at the end. I have my full mutli-day pack in this video but that was just for practice. You don't need a pack on this trail but trekking poles did come in handy.
