Fantastic advice, Lynne! It reminds me of the way keen gardeners might spend these winter months looking through seed catalogues and dreaming of garden plans for the next season. I have a pretty little notebook just waiting for a purpose, and now I am going to start jotting some seasonal decorating notes in there. Thanks again!
Oh I love the seed catalogue analogy ☺️ If ever there was someone who could be so in tune with nature and the current season - really revelling in it, while at the same time planning for the next one (and the one after that!) it’s a gardener 🥰 happy dreaming and scheming!
@karin8304 your comment made me glance at my kitchen table. Two seed catalogs came today. My garden planner is open to "what I have and what I would like." A girl has gotta keep her dreams alive! 🤫
Ooh, we have lots of snow and ice on the ground. I like that you mentioned all the senses. I love to create a home where people feel free to stop by and stay awhile. My home is mostly neat and I mix the everyday with seasonal touches. Woodsmoke is the norm for 3 of the 4 seasonal scents. (Not everyone's cup of tea, but enough that my little kitchen is often crowded.) 😉 Thanks, Lynne. Wonderful as always. PS I say mostly neat because we have a small farm... stuff happens!
Yep, I could spend a very long time in search of the perfect scent for my home - waaaay too long 🤣 A farm - how fun! Lots of hard work too I imagine!
Great video! I do these things as well to my home, it makes a big difference in the way my home feels each season. I also have a focal point in my family room, a large nook above my fireplace that I love to change out seasonally. Currently there is a winter penguin 🐧 village here 😅 it just makes me smile.
Oh I’ll bet it does! Picking one or two spots to seasonally switch up is a great tip, even if it’s just a chair in the corner where you change out the cushion as the season shifts! So glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for sharing how you refresh your space!

Also love scented candles and diffusers but for health reasons we try to avoid them these days 😢
I’m so glad it inspired you! Getting wall art / photos etc organised is definitely on my list for this year. I take so many photos when travelling then do nothing with them! 🤷♀️🤦♀️
Great advice Lynn, love your videos. We’ve been planning our garage conversion for about 3 years and never ever got round to it! Hoping to get the house done up this year and then I’m definitely going with the seasons in my home.
