As a drummer I hope this inspires people to take up drumming themselves! Drum machines can be cool too, but it's sad that acoustic drums are becoming less popular. Props to Mod Sun for featuring acoustic drums so prominently on his new album!
Acoustic drums are great and all, it's a dream for me to buy them and learn how to play but i know I will never be able to play acoustic set - I don't have space in my small flat, so sadly only thing there is for me is the electronic set, but still I'm stoked to learn drums someday.

Are there any recommendations for cheap acoustic drum sets like these? Because I’d love to be able to play drums but it’s really not the same with an electric drum kit (also small because I have a small room and no where else to keep them 😭)
I use to play in middle school to impress my girlfriend at the time. But I just ordered a set for my kids because they were shocked when they saw my play. It’s soothing.
Ya know. In my weakened mental state over the last several years, I COMPLETELY forgot how important music is. Humanity has always found inspiration & healing in music. No wonder it got so damn dark. At least, since I ran randomly (or was it?! Hmm 🤔) across Mod Sun almost 2 yrs ago, I am soooo much better & enjoying EVERYTHING so very much more! It truly IS one of the best things in life!

Ty MOD. You have emphatically reminded me that my brain simply doesn’t work like a musician. It just makes me adore musically talented people all that much more. I have had a beautiful djembe drum, I was completely inspired to get after 7 concerts of Godsmack where Sully did them. I just am far to tight in my head to even try to play. Could not learn to read music in high school either. I love the sound of orchestra instruments to play myself, so when I was playing violin, I just practiced until it was muscle memory. 🤷🏻♀️ worked at that level. MOD. I must say man. You look so very comfortable in your skin, not jittery/jumpy, focused & mostly HEALTHY in this tutorial! Keep it up. You wear it very well! I'm an old school pop punk guy. I discovered you about a month ago, and when I saw you playing drums in your "KARMA" video, I knew you were the real deal. Love videos like this. Nothing encouraged me more to play as a kid than seeing the artist play the song themselves and know that I was learning it the proper way. Keep it up!

I can't thank you enough for doing this! We live in an era where we no longer have to pay a fortune to go to a recording studio and hire a sound engineer to record a song. We don't even need to know how to play an instrument! All we need is a computer... This is a good thing but the problem is that, since we can make a whole song by ourselves in our bedroom, a lot of people will never know how it feels like to play in a band, play with other people. Also, and this is why I'm so happy that you made this video, I wish that everyone would try, at least once, to put down their headphones, get in a room with a real drum kit and let someone play the drums. Feel that bass drum in your chest and every time the drummer hits the snare, it's like a slap in your face but in a good way! This is something that you will never experience in your bedroom or even in a studio with a drum machine or a plugin!
