Great reaction guys. Chef Shinomiya really had to work extra hard building his rep and craft, especially in a very discriminatory environment like Paris. What's also noteworthy is how big-brained Chef Dojima was with the whole thing. Remember when he dropped by and observed the terrine class? He already knew back then that Shinomiya needed fixing, because he saw that the Magician (like most people driven to excel) was hitting a wall. Soma's shokugeki challenge was the perfect opportunity for him to drive the lesson home. It's a real blessing to find a CDC (Chef de Cuisine) that enlightens fellow cooks, and not merely produces fine food.
I just started binging your guys reaction to this show because it's by far the anime I've rewatched the most (in both sub and dub) It's awesome to see you guys learn the characters and their personalities the further we get on in the season.
