I've been listening their last record a lot. And last night I was wondering if there would be a The Menzingers Rig Rundown, I didn't find it so I went to sleep. Today I woke a saw this notification. Thank you! 😊
Oh man this was so good. I've been waiting since the guys teased it at the end of last year. So happy Menzos have been featured. Their live (and recorded) tones are just great. They've always been super generous answering questions too on Discord or wherever.
I like that Tom knew the exact birthday of his red LP Custom. My oldest guitar, a 1964 Harmony H-19 just had it's 60th birthday on January 30th. I thought I was the only person who was geeky enough to pay attention to their guitars birthdays, lol. Thank you Tom, for making me not feel like such a weirdo!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR DOING THE MENZOS they’re one of my favorite bands and they always have such cool gear with them onstage. Saw them in December 2023 and being front row, I loved the roar of those marshal stacks behind Greg. Do more punk and emo bands!
I had no intention to watch the whole video but here I am 47 minutes in... Tom's The Paul looks so sweet. Something like that could draw me away from my Fenders for a bit.
I saw them in Berkley CA before their Portland show and they said they had to go up there after and everyone boo'ed Portland and it made us go crazier in the pits because we wanted them to stay forever. Best show I have ever been too. Hope you had a good time!
I love this band, they are both great and I feel like Greg is one of the best song writers of the last decade in terms of this genre. The funniest part of the interview is when Tom busts out the deluxe and homie is like "wait are you guys talking about telecaster telecasters or deluxes (aka the les paul of fender) in terms of recording" but he says it in a very professional way. Great interview!
Ive never heard of these guys before but when that guy started singing i thought maybe these are the guys that did "On My Way" from Ice Age. I was wrong
Just seen the menzingers in Newcastle, England and was a brilliant show as always. And this was a pleasure to watch. Perry keep it up but the hair looks like a midget gem biscuit.
Can you please make "The rig rundown" with bands that are known to all the audience avoiding those unknown musicians that no one cares about? I know you can do it.

Never listened to this band but I will now. His excitement for gear put me in a great mood
Being a lefty, it’s always so satisfying to see other lefty guitars! Menzingers are just an added bonus!
After The Party - masterpiece of an album!
Greg and Perry’s energy are matched really well. You can tell they both love gear. Great video.
Listened "on the impossible past" a few times today, what a record. I love Greg guitar sound and gear, killer combo. Killer pedalboard

Seen these guys many times in Chicago since the early days. Awesome to see this pop up this morning.
The Menzingers rock, love these guys. Seem like genuine great dudes too

Watching this for nearly an hour and then think "aren't they in the UK soon?" Tickets booked, see you Sunday!
Also at the Bristol date!
Was at the Bristol gig last night! Was awesome! 🙌

I love when a lp custom turns yellow.

Love this band

I wish all les Pauls had the switch by the knobs! Way less likely to hit it on accident
Saw these guys last night in Bristol and both the sound and performance were absolutely top drawer!
Oh boy, I'm glad he thinks 1488 refers to his birthday and not something else.
Yea oh man that sucks.
That friggin lefty ES-335 block inlay!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 thanks for chatting with the Menzo’s!!!
This is great but im really bummed you didnt go through erics bass rig
Man, unfortunately we just ran out of time! Hopefully on the next run!
You’re never going to get a better sound than American guitars through British amps. Something magical just happens
Love how in this show the interviewee is as excited or more than the interviewer !
Saw them on this tour in Portland. Just great! Good one PG!
I saw them in Berkley CA before their Portland show and they said they had to go up there after and everyone boo'ed Portland and it made us go crazier in the pits because we wanted them to stay forever. Best show I have ever been too. Hope you had a good time!
that MUFF tone is mind-blowing!
You’ll never blow a speaker up especially if you’re running your amp at 1. Hahaha.
Love these dudes, best gearheads in the pop punk space imo.
Sweet!!

I sometimes use D’Addario strings but that god-awful ad (“I use D’Addario strings… because they’re perfect!”) is making me reconsider. 🤦♂️
One of the best bands out there.
Kind of funny that Tom still describes Trevor Reilly as "from Smackin' Isaiah", lol.
The boys are back in town
Great live band with great songs.

Shout out Homebase ! I miss those days ! That and Cafe Metropolis were second homes to me
I would trade my entire family for Tom’s LP Custom
I can't believe his 2203 master is set under 1!!! Those beasts open up around 4 - 6
29:35 DO YOU WANT NICE THINGS.... SURE YOU DO
Just seen the menzingers in Newcastle, England and was a brilliant show as always. And this was a pleasure to watch. Perry keep it up but the hair looks like a midget gem biscuit.
