Too cool man. I too built a camper over a flat bed motorcycle hauler. All Harley Davidson themed and looks like an old shack with aged tin and wood siding, Harley Tins all around and 2 windows on each side tv/dvd. Coolest camper/ motorcycle hauler and people are ALWAYS stoping us to take pics. Enjoy watching y’all’s videos. Ty for the entertainment Victor Hernandez
I was skeptical when you were in the planning stage, but damn, that's nice. To lighten the pop up feature, you could use cedar for timbers. Your choice to use screen for the walls was downright brilliant to cut down on weight. For privacy or to keep it warmer inside, you can attach velcro canvas drop down curtains on the outside...which would also shed rain. Great job guys.
Neat build, but I have got a couple of things. First- "Skining a Cat" is referring to Catfish not felines. Next: if You can Pop up, you can pop out. Over the wheels you could pop the camper out and create a bed on either side to sleep on. This will also create more inside floor space. You would just need to put the window in the door. Also, making a Dutch door would allow you just to walk in. You could put the top part in the camper while driving, then when you pop up the top, hang the top part of the door that would allow you to just walk in. Maybe an attachable birds nest above the window unit. Hinged table on the outside of the camper somewhere. It could hang flat with 4 legs and come completely off the camper or hang so it only needs two legs, might be difficult with pop out beds. With pop out sides you could even turn the mattress the other direction and make it a couch during the day and a bed at night. A slightly longer trailer so much more could be done with, but there is huge potential with this size if you get even more creative. Anyway, those are just some ideas... Excellent job Oh, one more idea. A shade cloth attached to a side and support bars, it could Roll up and get strapped down for travel, then let out and supported when needed.
I love that Daryl never belittles anyone for not knowing how to do something. He takes the time to show you how to do it instead. Great guy to have next door!!
In the upper Part there could be a kind of "acrylic glass flaps" to protect* the meshed opening. and if the "window panels" are with foil for not looking into the "house"... its even better. *Protection against the dirt ruining the mesh when driving the trailer around and protection against rain and cold wind
Darrell said "If Norm were here it'd already be in the water!" 😂 Awesome video. Maybe a bench style pull out with a memory foam twin cut in half. Then you'd have some storage underneath it too!
You should build a bed that hinges to the wall so it can be lifted up and locked out of the way, and then under the bed you can build some sort of storage that’s accessible when the bed is lifted up. You should also install rubber strips to the bottom edge of the lifting roof so no bugs can work there way in. Would also be cool to have hinged panels to cover the screen that hinges towards the roof, that way if you want the room but also want to keep the cold out in the winter they can be closed but still have height
@@mize_yir_bizz not always. A lot of people do a bench bed system that has a table so during the day you have a bench to sit on that’s out of the way. Murphy beds are simple for something like this though.
You need a pulley system with boat wench that will make lifting the roof easier. Kind of like a normal pop up. Also you can use the jacks like a truck camper to make it easier to remove off the trailer. It will alao keep it off the ground.
2 tips for the roof system: 1. Use 2 bars on each end, with threads and just roll the roof up. 2. Use 2 gas pistons, like the ones on car trunk, but there are stronger ones for beds. Might be tricky to install them right, but it will be very easy to pop it out and back in. In both solutions you can use the same bolts to lock it in place. When I have the time, I don't have the money for all these ideas and other way around 😂
Mannnn neighbor Darryl is soo freaking cool... I'd love to stay by him... from his awesome creative ideas to genuine old school knowledge.... Lojo you're definitely blessed... I know low-key Darryl be excited to see you coming.... making him feel a lil younger
Man i really like the way it came out! You should paint the wooden floor inside and out so water cant get in and so the wood wont soak up all that water. Also you can line the inside with thin sheet of PVC for durability and its easy to clean hell even paint. For lighting you can buy a set of old school stringed lights to hang around the inside. You and Daryl killed it!
I’ve seen how in some mini camper vans in Japan that they made kids beds that are removable by making suspension beds and having canvas with thick wooden rods and notching a piece of wood that the rods set on, you can also make a safety latch so the rods don’t roll out. Your girls are small enough to to go crossways in the trailer. I suggest getting the Exped Mega mat 15 insulated mattress (I have the Mega Mat 10 duo which is 4” thick but your a bigger guy and may prefer a the 6”). They have a mega mat that is even big enough to fill that trailer and you can all sleep on it and stand it up when you aren’t using it. Perhaps use mattress straps to keep the bedding on it or attach straps to the bottom wall and then just pull the straps up to some hooks on the roof railing? Some simple folding chairs and a long narrow table that drops down under the window if you have to spend time in there when it’s raining. You can attach heavy duty snaps to the roof and a tarp to make a big awning off the back and a pop up potty tent to store things at night. I think you could use some pool noodles to trim the roof inside and close up those holes or some rubber. I suggest that you attach a handle in the middle if the door on the top on the inside for ease of closing it and putting a strip of rubber on the outside around it to make a seal and allow water to drip off rather than settle and wick up that wood. You could make some lightweight frames with the pink insulation board to fill in parts of the screen to keep the cold in or out too, or even just fitted reflectix with snaps or magnets. Lots of options and looks really fun. If you really want fun, maybe find a winch you can mount of the tongue that could lift that top up too, then the wife can use it easily to take the girls camping. 😊
AWESOME !!!!! That is one of the best builds I've seen... Neighbor Daryle is a smart man when it comes to Dyi projects.. there's so many things you can do with this.. just think about deer camp.. no setting up a tent, a/c or heat if it's cold out.. you better figure out a leg for each corner for when you unhook it from the truck.. they have them for campers..make sure to seal ever hole possible because a bug will find it and get in if it's there..some shelves on the a/c end to store stuff. A hinged table that will fold out from the big open wall.. in case it's raining you could cook inside or sit a laptop on and work..so many little ideals..
Need to get a couple solar panels on top to help charge your batteries when camping and for more space, put a bunk bed in there instead of that bed taking all the space😉
Cool idea. I love the idea of multi use for such a trailer. Carry some simple automotive jack stands. At least three. One to place under the rear so it will not raise up in the front when stepping in the back while unhooked from the tow vehicle. Two more at the rear of the tailgate to level it making it like and entry porch. Being mesh steel this would also help keep inside cleaner by letting dirt come off your shoes or feet before entry. Don;t forget wheel chocks too. ;-) Might want to keep some towels ready to catch the water that gets in around the window. That window is designed to be installed vertically so it can not channel water out through the weep holes as designed. You might be able to add some across the side which is now the bottom but other modification might be necessary. Maybe add a flip down roof to act as a awning over the window to shelter it from rain might be another solution. I imagine it hinging to the roof 's horizontal support at the bottom of the screen. Cables attached to the corners and up to the roof's horizontal frame above the screen would provide support while in use. Also, consider installing a lock operational from both the interior and exterior on the door. I would suggest a deadbolt so you can lock and unlock it from either side and not risk some prankster locking you in from the outside. ;-) Happy camping!
Very cool! I really like the build videos. Add shutters on hinges that can be propped up/open as awnings. This will protect your screens while you're driving, highway speeds could tear it or from snags and tears while driving on trails. And you could let the awnings down at night to keep the ac inside.
Well done Gents. I am currently building a camper to sit on my 6' x 4' box trailer. Will have Pop top roof to have 6 ft head clearance above floor area. I am 5'10''. I am a welder so all the frame is RHS 25mm x 25mm x 1.6wall. (1'' square tube") Lighter than 2'' x 3'' timber per lineal metre. Will have all the mod cons inside. 12v and 240v power. Lighting will be both. Skylight wfan is 12v. Lounge, table, kitchenette with running water and sink. Microwave. Bar fridge/freezer. I have fitted out many vans over the years and never built a camper for my self. Now retired so plenty of time to do. I willpost for sale. I wouldn't mind building these for others and make a few dollars.
Wow! That's perfect! That is ideal for just getting up and going and you don't have to go home if you want to start fishing first thing in the morning! I suggest a vent in the peak with a computer case-sized fan for those occasions when you aren't running the a/c. Also, you could use a narrower bed. It doesn't need to be wider than your shoulders are broad. if you just used a roll-up camp matress, you could even put the platform on a hinge and latch it up adainst the side when you are up and around.
Love, Love, LOVE your "SquareDrop" Teardrop Camper Trailer. You did a fantastic 👏 ❤ 🙌 job. Might want to cover the screen area with some roll-up canvassing covers with paracord tie-ups so tree branches don't tear off the screening in transit or in the wild. Also safeguarding for road rocks that fly up and hit the trailer.
Neighbor Daryl reminds me so much of my dad and uncle. Love the content with Daryl you really need to do a huge video giving or building something for him!
Wow. Really great build, from start to finish. Neighbor Daryl and his creativity and the teamwork makes this NEXT LEVEL. I was happy with the build, then to see your wife and children enjoy it made it so wholesome. Keep it up LOJO 🙌🏼
Not gonna lie, hearing LOJO say they could use norm there cause it would already be done, that got me a little! Love you LOJO and love the videos always!!❤
Love the build content! Big ups to neighbour Drayl! I'm sure he's having so much fun with all the younguns around him which sparks his passion and creativity. Love it!
when the tops up you could have a vinyl cover for each screen that buttons im so jealous of that ac my house get 104-120 (its 100 or close to it everyday though)inside all summer with multiple fans on i wish i had a ac unit (id really love to have one like flairs cabin used in the windows before the renovation)
Use some pine basement stair handrail (the big wooden dowel with one flat edge), cut some heavy-duty tarp strips to fit the sides, and attach a rail at the top and bottom (for weight)... You could attach them to unit when you set up camp, for privacy, and weatherproofing... Just roll them up to the top (under the roof-line) when not using and for storage (inside the camper) for transport. This way you don't lose your height or even some ventilation in moderate rain and it would keep some cool air from the AC in. You could theoretically, permanently affix the top edge of the tarp at the roof-line with flat stock and travel with the tarps rolled and tied, like an RV awning. Grommets and a bunch of turn-key style retainers would work instead of the round stock if you know someone who can sew the edges of your tarp 'rain flies' Tons of possibilities. :)) ***Also, framing the cube (as you did) and using roofing steel (ribs aiming up and down) of a contrasting color over your foam board would have saved you a TON of weight, and would have given you a nice pre-finished look over stained OSB which WILL break down in no-time in the elements... A 2x4 upright on either side of the window would have been all of the extra support needed, IMO. Keep it in mind for the 2.0 version when your wood needs replacing :)
@@lojofishing I am NOT a hater. Got to say that. I found your channel today and am going to go watch more. The whole video I was worrying about Daryl. What a gem of a man. So much talent, skill and imagination. Get that boy some Athletic Greens and see if he can work on that tum. Former nurse here - he's got a build that's really hard on the 💖. Would hate for the world to list this treasure.
LOJO what I suggest is adding some roll up canvas shades inside the screens to hold in the air conditioner and just make another flap at the end where you have it open on the A
Neighbor Daryl is the most legendary guy on the planet like how many people can say they have a neighbor that builds cool ass stuff like this with them the man is a genius and great work as always LOJO love the content
Would love to see more of daddy lojo and Mrs lojo maybe on a family camping trip.... I've always enjoyed the videos that lfg does w his family... very sweet dad w his girls. Happy family
I would love to build one! Please show close ups when attaching hardware at corners, etc for us rookies next time please! It would be helpful to know if you used screws or nails, attached at an angle or not, maybe the why behind different approaches?! Thanks
Loved the video. Including the kids, wife, absolutely adorable, realistic. I built a camper, 10’x10’x16’ on a trailer. Yours looks so much more comfortable.
The camper came out amazing. I‘ve been wanting to make one of these “trailer campers” for a long time now. I had the same thought about adding an adjustable height roof, but all my design ideas seemed too complicated. This one is so simple and works great. Awesome job!
Great build brother!! You should definitely put your rods on the roof of it with straps like on a bass boat and mount the gun rack on the walls so you can have both
Neighbor Daryl is the awesome builder he had books of info in his mind … nice 👍🏼 wonder if he sees Lojo and says what we got now… or ok let’s do this 😁
Ever since the beginning i thought of a way to use the rear ramp gate in the build. It is too late for the ideal to be conveniently added now, unless you have a welder and some scrap metal. But to bolt pressure treated wood to the top of the ramp and use it for a mini deck that flips down and has legs to hold it horizontal with the trailer like a level platform. You can sit on it, use it for a table, and a place to wipe your feet or take shoes off. But not walking on the part you are using for a table, but you can have mini tables to put out there on the deck, so when you are sitting on the deck the tables are still useable and convenient, like 18 inch high table. The other ideal with it is to have it be a fold down shower stall raised above the ground like in a real camper or house. Same thing, flips down as a level platform. The deck with a shower pan in it folds down, and the walls fold up around the pan, they can be just mainly corrugated plastic, foam board, glue, and hinges. With real foam board(not the paper coated foam board, the real 100% foam board, like owens corning), glued properly to the corrugated plastic, it becomes a composite, strong for the weight. Have enough PVC pipe, or copper pipe filled with water, painted black on the roof and the sun will heat it for you, have the pipes big enough to hold a few showers and just fill it up using garden hose at home. Add a air valve at highest elevation in the pipe system so you can then pressurize the water more by using a hand pump or air compressor, this will give good results for pressure in the shower, all the way until the last drop is used, then you will hear the air. You will start to hear air before it is all gone, but it will have pressure until the last bit of water. Always put water in first until it stops flowing, then pump air into it or else you won't be able to get the water into it, or enough.
On thing I would take into account is putting in automotive grade glass for the windows I'm sure the glass panels can be replaced...that way when it's in motion on the road you know the glass is rated for that.
Man i appreciate this channel so much. You, norm and ayo help me get my mind off of work and everything else for a little bit and just let me enjoy some time. This thing is super cool and i love builds like this. Makes me want to make one!
Awesome video!! Build ya a removable screen for the door and get even more air and doubles as another window! Especially if ya got a fire going and ya lay down and get that crackling of the fire and the light of the fire shinning through it. Keep up the amazing content! The whole family enjoys watching!
Lojo, I am sure it has been mentioned, but if you have any lighting issues on the interior, you can simply paint some of the walls and ceiling with white paint. Also a foldable almost sideways Murphy bed would be sweet!! Love the videos!!!
You could use a router and seat in some plexiglass on the ends that slide so you can enclose it to trap in the cold air. You can also get a small futon instead of an air mattress so you can fold it into a couch to look out the window and it would be easier to eat with wall mounted fold down tables, plus you would gain a little bit of storage underneath the futon.
I like how you built. I've thought about making something similar but instead of osb and metal roofing I thought of doing the walls and roof in that same insulation and wrapping it in 4x8 plastic panels from Lowes or rolled aluminum to reduce weight and for water proof.
@Lojo couple ideas, dont forget to seal it fully and the roof. Also for the screen area you can put velcro ontop of the screen one you staple to the screen on the inside; then cut a brown tarp to size and use adhesive to tack it to the tarp that way u have some privacy. Also you could use plexy glass and use butterfly screw clips to keep them closed that way the roof can stay high and the air can stay on. Also i love the idea of a box on the front under the air conditioner for ur generator, just watch ur air conditioner doesnt leak/drain into it. You can always use paneling to finish the inside or just paint what u can. Also look into LED strips for lighting, that way u arent going thru batteries like crazy and its far less consumption on ur generator, also make a spot for ur generator solar panels on the roof. Dont forget to put a lock on the inside to keep the door shut while you sleep. Its going to be great and u can always use it as a deer blind if u rolled the screen or did the velcro option on that too. Just some ideas but its amazing and turned out great.
You can attach post on each side of lift with hinges that latch to sides of camper. It extends to the ground to stable the pop up. . Then you can secure with bolts. Done with one person. Just a suggestion. Cool camper.
Great vid Lojo. The camper turned out awesome. I would think about insulating the inside of the roof. That will keep you cooler and quiet any rain noise. I know metal roofs can be noisy. I loved seeing the family involved. I have two daughters myself. They are truly amazing. Mine are both off at college now, so enjoy every minute you can with them. It will be over before you know it.
Make bunk beds in it, since you got a little family. The kids can get on top secured bunk and you and wifey can have the bottom/floor bunk but put them on the other side so you can sit against the wall and look out the window on the opposite wall. Also would be nice to make the top bunk flip down into the back of the couch.
Awesome job guys! Here's a few ideas...... You could get a camo tarp and use Velcro or snaps across the boards at the bottom (of the top piece that raises up) to cover over the top and down the sides to keep rain and or snow out of the screaned in area. Or better yet use heavy duty plastic (at Walmart in the craft section and it's on a roll by, priced by the yard) and just use the Velcro or snaps. And when you want to open it up just roll it up using Paracord or rope like on a tent flap/window and tie it up. Fold up table(s), multi outlet for plugging in things. Good luck and have fun!
You could probably come up with some kind of canvas to keep rolled up over top of the the screen in area. Then you drop the canvas down it gives you privacy so you can't see in but it also seals it up more it keeps the air in at night. You could even get some type of Venetian blind or something I just thought the canvas because it would help keep all the cold air in
That is so cool! Maybe thinner ply for the walls to lessen the weight, and some insulation in the roof. I was dubious about the way the upper half would work, but it turned out a brilliant idea, well done. For the kids' beds, maybe some dowel and canvas stretchers going east west bunk style would work, and be easily taken down when not needed.
After all the "challenge" builds, it was really great to see a "quality" build. This is useful and like you said, many possibilities for use come to mind. A nice little refuge for an all night river fishing outing, park at night for an early am fishing trip to a hard to get to fishing location that is accessible by vehicle, if such a place exists. Then of course, all of your hunting trip ideas. Nice. Well done. Daryl is the amazing neighbor we'd all like to have. Bless you Daryl!
Popup trailer need a canvas add-on so you can close the screened area in for bad weather or cold nights and still leave it popped up so you can still stand up and move around, maybe replace the mattress with something like a futon or whatever that can be folded up to create seating and some storage underneath. Also add a drop down or lift up table on the wall next to or underneath the window for eating or cleaning the guns at the end of the day. How about adding the fishing rod racks to one side of the roof and the gun racks to the other side of the roof.
Awesome build!! Will definitely come in clutch in any situation. I would put some spray foam where the roof meets the wood and get some window vinyl like what they use on boats
A couple things I would do is insulate the roof with foamboard, and cut foam to put in the screened part to keep the ac in better. But you can remove on cool nights when you dont need ac.
Absolutely love it. Please do not allow Ayo or Norm to put that on your floating dock. This will definitely be easier for u to transfer around your property for hunting and fishing. Honestly the girls may enjoy it as much as you do!
Man I really enjoyed this a lot. Neighbor Darrell is the coolest dude ever. Love your content man keep it up. That little thing will have so many uses.
You could cut some plexiglass to fit over the screen when you want the extra room and light with the extension up. The long pieces could be hidden in the roof and the 2 smaller one can fit in the cavity of the on wall. Then just fasten then with straps or hangers or something. Cool ass build. Neighbor Daryl is the man! Great video lojo!
Neighbor Daryl has been a godsend for your channel. He's always up for whatever you throw at him and seems to enjoy being part of the mayhem. Continued success, Lojo.
You could also get yourself a Tri-fold memory foam mattress, you can find different sizes on Amazon and not very expensive… nice part is when you fold it up it makes a great couch..
I’d love to see a video of you taking this to a pretty full camp ground and film reactions of other campers(or get them to help you put the roof up). You could fish the area and get a couple of videos out of it too.
That's a really nice camper! That's what I've been thinking about doing. Except for the pop up part I might bend one inch pvc pipe hoop style across like a covered wagon and cover it with water proof canvas. It would be lighter easily lowered or stored inside. Hope Daryl is okay I wish I had his help!
strap up canvas /vinyl blinds like you see on some food trucks would cover the screen part on the inside to keep it cool inside. You could easily make them yourself. Just cut your fabric 18" or so by 8 ft length and sew straps or use velcro to hold it up out of the way. Nice camper, good job neighbor Darryl.
Lojo that’s an amazing build man you got a great neighbor and friend Daryl is a genius enjoy you tiny house lol A quick idea for the bed you can build a mobile platform so it’s easier to lift it up and it will be ready to go Love you content keep doing the amazing work that you’ve been doing
Cool camper guys! Saw another utility trailer conversion to a camper. He still wanted to be able to use the trailer at times without the camper. He attached two skids (2 by six boards) on the bottom of the camper. Attached a winch from harbor freight on the front frame and put a pull bar on the front of the camper. No more lifting the camper on. Tilt the trailer down and winch on the camper.
One father to another. This is fricken amazing man. That reaction is amazing and you’ve warmed my heart amazingly. I’m so proud of you, Darrel, and the crew. This is amazing and you’ve inspired me greatly. God I love the content you push, keep up the amazing work sir, and thank you for your service again
Sweet little DIY camper. The pop-up feature was genius. I would use bolts and screws on the conduit brackets that hold the six I-bolts for the pop-up. then I would fashion some kind of metal part that would screw onto the pop-up with a hole for the I bolt to keep the wood from tearing out. Insolate the top too.
I have a similar trailer with a 7x14 bed. I could make the bed across the front. Make some decent legs for the ramp and make a way for to have an awning over it. I think I’d use lighter sheeting on both side of the foam. A 2x2 frame sheathed on both side with a little glue …
Lojo first thing covers the screen with water proof canvas attached with Velcro, that way you can still have it popped up in the rain or winter. Next cover the inside walls with wood panels for a more finished look. Lastly make a smaller homemade bed that hangs from the wall and folds up to give you floor space and under bed storage.
2:00 bro I wish I had a guy like that in my life, he was instantly thinking of ideas to make it better and all that. Possible upgrades... get a portable solar panel and make a solar box instead of ur generator idea. Add a chain or self closer to the door so it can only swing so far
Such an amazing idea and it looks great. Maybe add 2 pneumatic actuators to help with lifting the roof and instead of curtains for the window just use window tint.
Lojo bud give Darrell a huge hug he reminds me of my grandpa and just how creative and funny he is. Every episode with him, brings back fond memories with my grandpa and myself. You have a fantastic relationship with one another as not just neighbors or friends but extended family and I think we can all appreciate and relate to that. Id love to see more builds like this. Maybe create some deer blinds, or mini cabins for when all the guys come to stay. Maybe add to Norms cabin and really think what else you could put out there. You may need a storage shed for tools or just firewood so it stays dry. You need to be able to close those windows on that cabin perhaps shutters or tin covers hindged at the top that u open from the bottom and that way no rain comes in. Also you need to close off both with spray foam. Personally i think u would have a blast inviting the boys down and doing a whole catch cook weekend but have some groceries but just enjoy the cabin it needs to used. Would love to see Darrell in the cabin as well playing cards and telling stories then go out on the lake and do a massive fish fry at night. Perhaps u should have ayo and norm build their own little travel cabins, give them like a week or so to put their ideas on paper then u all work together and make it happen. That way u each have one and lets face it your girls will love playing in them when u guys arent using them. Just some thoughts. Id also love to know if u plan on doing another boat rebuild. I know we are waiting on more videos of ur current one. But is there any new ones in ur future(boat builds)????
Part 2 of the alligator hunt is being edited as we speak!! Hope to have it for you guys soon!!

I was skeptical when you were in the planning stage, but damn, that's nice. To lighten the pop up feature, you could use cedar for timbers. Nice job could you consider selling the land on how you built the camper and the material you used thank you very much
I love how Daryl is so creative he had it designed before he walked to the trailer 😳
facts 😂
Excellent job
Oh, one more idea. A shade cloth attached to a side and support bars, it could Roll up and get strapped down for travel, then let out and supported when needed.
I love seeing this side of lojo more family oriented. lojo should definitely put your family in more videos
thanks man I'll be thinking of more ways to incorporate them
Daryl is a saint of a human being. Videos with Daryl are so fire! Hope that guy keeps being in videos
I love that Daryl never belittles anyone for not knowing how to do something. He takes the time to show you how to do it instead. Great guy to have next door!!
In the upper Part there could be
a kind of "acrylic glass flaps"
to protect* the meshed opening.
and if the "window panels" are with foil for not looking into the "house"... its even better.
*Protection against the dirt ruining the mesh when driving the trailer around
and
protection against rain
and cold wind
Best part was the little ones! They are so adorable! And you sir are a Great Daddy! You can hear it in their voices! Great Job!
Murphy Bed's are definitely the way to go building a tiny home ..
2 tips for the roof system:
Insulate that roof for winter use. water seal the outside wood. This little camper is awesome.
I suggested canvas rollups for the screening but shutters are a much better. Great idea 💡.
Great idea I will definitely think about using this
@@darrelljohnson817 is this the great Neighbor Darrell?? Is so, this reply made my holiday weekend!
The one and only .have a great labor day weekend
I love the dog “supervising” everyone. Great project to see.
Also safeguarding for road rocks that fly up and hit the trailer.
thank so soo much
Neighbor Daryl reminds me so much of my dad and uncle.
Love it!
I vote for your glamper best! Zake's was ok, but yours ROCKS! I like garage insulation concept, with wood burner.. Country vibe!
when the tops up you could have a vinyl cover for each screen that buttons im so jealous of that ac my house get 104-120 (its 100 or close to it everyday though)inside all summer with multiple fans on i wish i had a ac unit (id really love to have one like flairs cabin used in the windows before the renovation)
Neighbor Daryl is one of the best changes I've watched happen to your channel over the years, and his puppies are adorable right now.
Love it, looks great! Not sure how yall got all the work done with Allie's adorable pups looking at you the whole time.
***Also, framing the cube (as you did) and using roofing steel (ribs aiming up and down) of a contrasting color over your foam board would have saved you a TON of weight, and would have given you a nice pre-finished look over stained OSB which WILL break down in no-time in the elements... A 2x4 upright on either side of the window would have been all of the extra support needed, IMO. Keep it in mind for the 2.0 version when your wood needs replacing :)
Got to love the idea and Daryl. I love Daryl’s friendliness and tolerance to all the things that go on right next for him.
he loves us
@@lojofishing I am NOT a hater.
What happened to the Momma Dog and Pups? They would love to go camping too...
@@imogeneclark2518I guess it wouldn't be too safe - best to keep them at home while it's hunting season.

You should definitely put your rods on the roof of it with straps like on a bass boat and mount the gun rack on the walls so you can have both
Put blackout curtains inside put together in the ceiling. When you change clothes or when you go to sleep. Very comfortable. I gave you a thumb up 👍
Man, Andrew Too is so inquisitive and always want to be involved, love it!!! Lojo always has such an awesome relationship with his camera guys
Hell yeah it does
I cannot wait to camp in this thing
Awesome video!! Build ya a removable screen for the door and get even more air and doubles as another window! Especially if ya got a fire going and ya lay down and get that crackling of the fire and the light of the fire shinning through it. Keep up the amazing content! The whole family enjoys watching!
Lojo, I am sure it has been mentioned, but if you have any lighting issues on the interior, you can simply paint some of the walls and ceiling with white paint. Also a foldable almost sideways Murphy bed would be sweet!! Love the videos!!!
Love this. You could also install poly carbon sheets on hinges to close off the screened areas or a removal panel system
Lojo you need to round the boys up and do something massive for Daryl! My man is a gem of a person
Must be so cool having a neighbor like Darrell.
oh it's a life saver
Make bunk beds in it, since you got a little family. The kids can get on top secured bunk and you and wifey can have the bottom/floor bunk but put them on the other side so you can sit against the wall and look out the window on the opposite wall. Also would be nice to make the top bunk flip down into the back of the couch.
for the colder months, I'd put canvas over the screen. Also make sure to coat the bottom so it doesn't rot out of it. Overall I love this build!!
Great idea a 20 by 20 tarp would completely cover this and make it cold weather proof.thanx for your idea
@@darrelljohnson817 I would insulate the roof as well. Would keep some of the suns heat from penetrating the metal roof.
You could even get some type of Venetian blind or something I just thought the canvas because it would help keep all the cold air in
Smart, pack like a tarp inside and just throw it over the whole thing or something
that's a solid idea
@@lojofishing cheap canvas tarps at harbor freight.
I had the same idea I just commented it and then read your comment 😂
Great build you and Neighbor Daryl put your weight on it ❤That pop up camper is pretty Cool .
Man I really enjoyed this a lot. Neighbor Darrell is the coolest dude ever. Love your content man keep it up. That little thing will have so many uses.
I love your neighbor Darrel !!! he goes along with whatever you guys come up with, shenanigans and all! He reminds me of my papaw! God Bless YALL!
this was a good one! y'all be putting out some freaking fire content lately brother.
Simply awesome. The things you guys come up with. I have a childrens playhouse in my backyard that would work perfectly on a lawn mower trailer.
Neighbor Darryl is so awesome! His designs and executing them is cool!!
@lojo you really looked happy about the built and your confidence in building is getting a lot better keep up the good content
strap up canvas /vinyl blinds like you see on some food trucks would cover the screen part on the inside to keep it cool inside. You could easily make them yourself. Just cut your fabric 18" or so by 8 ft length and sew straps or use velcro to hold it up out of the way. Nice camper, good job neighbor Darryl.
Lojo that’s an amazing build man you got a great neighbor and friend Daryl is a genius enjoy you tiny house lol
A quick idea for the bed you can build a mobile platform so it’s easier to lift it up and it will be ready to go
Love you content keep doing the amazing work that you’ve been doing
We need a 16 ft version of this in the future!! You could fit multiple beds then do a overnight challenge in it.
It-its . . not really a challenge. .
. people sell their house to live like this. . .
. . on purpose 🤯
I have a similar trailer with a 7x14 bed. I could make the bed across the front. Make some decent legs for the ramp and make a way for to have an awning over it. I think I’d use lighter sheeting on both side of the foam. A 2x2 frame sheathed on both side with a little glue …
I built a homemade camper last summer. And it was one of the most fun things I have ever made.
This was crazy!! Definitely got me wanting to do this when I get a trailer like this 😅
Lojo first thing covers the screen with water proof canvas attached with Velcro, that way you can still have it popped up in the rain or winter. Next cover the inside walls with wood panels for a more finished look. Lastly make a smaller homemade bed that hangs from the wall and folds up to give you floor space and under bed storage.
Let's gooo Lojo. Love your content bro. Keep up the good work bud
❤
i love how darrel's mind just takes off envisioning the build. my mind works that way, but just not as deep as his!
Daryll is the definition of putting blood sweat and tears into something lol 😂
Massive fish fry on the future. Stay tuned
