MILK PROCUREMENT - Medha Dairy | Jharkhand Milk Federation

We took an exhaustive look into the processes involved in milk production and what better place to start than our own Medha Dairy. The dairy is now procuring almost 1,50,000 liters of milk on a daily basis. They have plans to expand and grow to more than 5 lac liters in the near future and establish Jharkhand as an exporter of milk.

So you only test for fat and snf...and you don't test for urea, detergent,palm oil, starch in the acceptance stage....

Moreover its very difficult to setup complete laboratory at the village level BMC, that's why all the tests are done at the plant laboratory before the milk is off-loaded in the milk cilo of the production plant. @@KMGStudios but if someone is bringing 12 cans of milk ...of which 4 are adulterated...that is accepted....and mixed with all the milk....and later when you test in laboratory...the concentration of the adulterated milk is very less...and somehow undetectable....and the adulterated milk does reach the consumer . That is my concern.
If every can of milk was tested at acceptance stage...the farmers would be scared to carry out adultration of milk.
Its this serious lapse that is forcing the consumer to have this adulterated milk....
Come on...don't tell me that technology is not available to check milk at acceptance stage. Everyone has the latest cell phones...but milk testing is still done in primitive old fashioned way....
