      I thought that was only in the USA. Here men especially say they are gay, and they would not be seen on one. Motorcycle riders always wave at each other, but if you are on a scooter, you do not wave because they surely will not wave back.

      Because heads are firmly jammed up arseholes.
      It's a macho thing.
      Some people wouldn't be seen dead on anything less than 210 BHP 🙂

    Nice review & a good looking little scooter. Scooters are very underrated in the UK, so it's good to see a positive review. I have noticed the odd comment about it being underpowered & a liability. Hmm. Written by someone who's never ridden a scooter, I'd say. For riding around town these are perfect - they accelerate well enough & town riding is what they're designed for. Having had a test ride on one myself its a perfectly adequate machine - & i weigh 20 odd stones (127 ish kg). But then I'm a scooter fan, as I ride a Suzuki AN650 Burgman, & frankly it's one of the best bikes ive had in 43 years of riding all sorts of bikes, from a FS1E to 1200cc BMW touring bikes.

    You never cease to surprise me..., who would have thought that our Kate would enjoy bombing around on a Scooter!
    Got my eye on one of them for when I finally give up, or have to give up my Bikes for whatever reason. The thought of being without some kind of 2-wheeler under my butt is a grimm thought that depresses me.
    Good fun and entertaining video that goes to show, that life is just about being on two wheels, no matter what they look like !

    Been riding maxi scoots for the last 20 years. Needless to say I love them. Practical with the huge under seat storage but still fun to chuck into the twisties. Have in the past even surprised the odd Sunday sport bike rider down the country lanes when they failed to shake the big fat Burgman off their tail 😂

    Hi Kate, would you think this is a good choice for my wife (63) who tried a 125 geared bike but just couldn’t get the hang of the gears etc, she wanted to ride but had her confidence knocked badly with a fall at 5 mph in our yard.

    My first ride on a gas powered two wheeler was in grade school in the early 60s on the spare tire of I believe a Vespa, there was three of us on it. I already liked motorcycles but that set the hook. Kate compared to other rides to Scotland did the scooter with its leg protection from the wind and wet make a big difference in comfort? My city used to have an annual scooter rally it was a sight to see them coming down the road. I know a scooter fanatic he has and rebuilds vintage ones he also builds some sleepers that rip up the road.

    Hey Kate, love your reviews and agree with you 100% about the scooters. Unfortunately, in the UK the scooters aren't as popular as in other European cities, i.e. in France or Italy. I've been riding big bikes for over 10 years now and recently bought the 2018 Vespa GTS300. Absolutely love it, looks great, plenty of storage, insurance is pretty cheap and cost me £10 to ride 120 miles around the town. I'd love to see you review more scooters. I bet you'd love Vespa 😉

    Before this Suzuki did a 110 Address with an air cooled carb fed motor ,it would go to the moon & back on a few litres of fuel & do 65 mph & blow many 125 scoots into the weeds . This model looks more sophisticated ,more suited to your city farty skinny latte cafe set . But it should be reliable & well built as it’s carrying the Suzuki badge & good buy for those looking for a small neat economical scoot . 👍

    It slightly grinds my gears/belt when I keep hearing western bike reviewers criticise manufacturers for not making engines at the limit of a specific liscense class. Pretty much every other market is more important to them when it comes to practical sensible bikes of the people. Europe and North America variants are probably an after thought for most bikes under 400cc. Despite sounding mardy I do appreciate the review!...and now a cheeky question!...How did you feel about the balance and stability being on a small wheeled scooter? Did it feel less safe?

    Although a Suzuki fan not sure scooters are my thing. However loving the idea of 125’s and being about to just rag the bike and have huge fun and still be in the speed limits. Also bikes with storage built in why is this not a thing on every commuter bike 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I nearly bought a Burgman 400 for this winter, but I just couldn't do it, even at 66, I don't feel I'm ready, 😂🤣 so I've bought a CL500 scrambler instead and am pleased with it, for the lanes, tracks and byways in Mid wales, a much nicer road bike than my CRF300 Rally, job done. I like that you have a good variance of reviews, which makes it a great channel to watch 👍

    "I've seen 67 MPH" Is that on the obviously over-optimistic speedometer or actual GPS speed? Most of these smaller scooters go to the edge of the rules, which are 0.000% under, but +10% + additional 2MPH over actual speed, so an indicated 56 at actual 50, or in this case 59 actual at 67 indicated.

    • @UsernameKate
      @UsernameKate  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It meant I saw it on the dash. Pretty much all speedos are out to a degree and on the Scotland trip we compare it to GPS 😊

    • @erik_dk842
      @erik_dk842 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@UsernameKate Lying speedometers have only ever made me go faster. It used to be "add 10% to know your actual speed" then I got first a bicycle computer, later on GPS and then SpeedoHealers, but I still feel that I'm going less than the limit, unless I'm actually going 10% over. Now here in Denmark, 80% of the drivers use the Saphe speed trap warning app, so we are virtually immune to the speed traps. Now I mostly go as fast as I can, without risking a point on my license, so just shy of 20% too fast.
