The Roland Juno-106 Synthesizer from the year 1984 is a great analog synth with the typical 80s Roland sound. Here can you find the full Juno-106 playlist with single sound demos and one synth demo tracks. Enjoy. The Juno-106 playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLe08Lbpy8pPZ1gmLNkYJnvw6IGb8NYlgK.html
Just love this synth, it’s just got a character of its own. Just makes amazing sounds and you can see why you hear it on so many 80s music. Just love synth like these because they was fun and you just never get fed up with them, always finding new sounds on them. I still think the synths of the past are better than synths today? Or it’s the people today who have lost their way with making something amazing on them. Could listen to you all day, once again just a fantastic channel and your a top man who shows us your great collection of synths and always doing good stuff on them. As always love what you do and love your channel. Hats of to you and your juno 106.
Thank you for your great feedback on my videos. I really appreciate that. I think that people used to have to be more creative because the technical possibilities were more limited. This is how completely new ways of making music were discovered. Today it's almost all about copying. Creativity takes a back seat and the new technical possibilities have not made the music any better. This Juno is a very simple synthesizer with very limited capabilities with very limited capabilities. you have to deal with it in order to achieve the variety of tones.
Juno 106 sounds pretty thin unless you swaddle it in some effects. It’s basically the lone oscillator trying to do all the heavy lifting alongside pressing both chorus buttons at once. I guess if they wanted more oscillators on it they would have called it a Jupiter and ridiculously cranked the price way up like your grandma with a thyroid problem working the thermostat in winter.
Thank you Rick. I like both but the Juno60 is my favorite. Better hardware. The sound is different. The Ju60 sounds more lush. The Ju106 more clean. The 106 is famous for deep bass sounds. The pads are great too. But worst hardware.

It's funny I have this Siel mk490. I know it has pcm samples of Juno 106 but I love it. 😁
Strangely mine never sounds as good as that when I play it.
It must be something to do with my singular lack of talent 😆
:)
Have fun!

Awesome synth. Curious...how do you think it compares to the Juno 60, Marko? Is it an improvement (enough to be a successor)?
