I found this channel reading an old review of Ivoire, 2012, which I have loved so much, and am heartbroken not to have any more. I write from Bangalore, and patchouli is well established here, with names for it many South Indian languages. Pachai, Pachathanai and so on. Pachai meaning green in Tamil Kannada, very likely in other South Indian languages. It is quite easily found, the plant I mean. I have it growing all over the garden, and it is indeed woody and fragrant. I acquired the plant over thirty years ago for my grandmother, who remembered using patchouli scented soap in the 1930s ☺️ That is how well established it is!
Very happy to have found this channel, have subscribed to it, shall be even happier if you, or any others here, can guide me to perfume that would make me as happy as Ivoire 2012 did

So nice to see you again, elegant as ever... It would be so fun to hear you talk about maufactured notes like 'muguet' or 'cuir' which in of themselves don't exist but are created in the lab.

Marie Salamagne created a pachouli and tonka _Nuveau Genre_for Yves Rocher and the result is great, unisex and wearable without the pachouli losing any character (in my humble opinion)😅 It is good value for money
Please do more videos on notes, its great to share some of your knowledge☺️

Excellent video! Too true about that base of Aromatics Elixir. It's essentially what drove me towards Aramis' 900. 🌹🌿

Sandalwood and Aged patchouli are my two most favorite materials to work with. When I need to sex up a formula subtly, aged patchouli does the trick for me.

Happy to see a video from you. I’ve been bingeing on Bianchi’s Sticky Fingers lately!! It brought me back to patchouli after some time disliking it. An all time favorite for me is Coromandel 🤍
