Holy socks. This is just mind blowing. Let me edit: This is just a mind blowing masterpiece. I have not heard anything this good since Adele's "Someone Like You," video version where she goes high.
From my album review: With “In The Moonlight” Swift adapted Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and added lyrics to the world-famous piano piece. She turns it into a completely painful love song. The first piano sounds are pure Beethoven, then her singing begins - melancholic, longing. Plus Chris Whiteman's guitar, which screams passionately in the solo. Veronica's performance becomes more urgent and louder with the next lines. Together with the choir voices, hurt and spurned love is clearly expressed. She intones highly dramatically: “That everything’s alright - that we never had to fight- oh, tell me honey, what can I do to make it right? ‘Cause I can’t take it, I can’t make it through the night without you in the moonlight.” It's impressive how the most emotional piece on her current album: VERONICA SWIFT builds up again and again in an exciting way.
Love the song...saw Veronica a week ago and what an amazing show....better than the captive track: Not to matter much but in present and if were at the mixer during album time I would have given Veronica a little more intro level vs making her sound diminutive Her commanding voice should be featured Volume ramp at the inrto was too slow for this song 30/yr clasically trained barouque pianist; 15 years concurrently in studio recording and audio mixing for what its worth

Fantastic voice. Find her with Emmet Cohen. We’ve seen her twice.
