I have just tested my 5 stabilia levels on my calibrated digital level One is plum. The other 4 read level one side , spin em around and slightly out. Maybe .5-1 mm , but not good enough for what i do
The bubble size and ring spacings are designed to ensure optimum readability, even at high and low temperatures. This guarantees exact readings from -20 °C to +50 °C. The size of the vial bubble is always within the reference rings: from -20 °C to +50 °C 👍 Check out our website for more information www.stabila.com/en/products/quality-and-technology/spirit-levels.html
I have an old Stanley level where the bubble touches the side rings, and you're never guessing when it hits level. But of course the temperature factor stabile mentioned is important as well.
Thats so simple when you see it , but outstandingly clever when you understand it.
Thanks for your feedback 💛🖤👍

For our reversible spirit levels, the measurement accuracy in reverse position is 0.75 mm/m💛🖤
@STABILAOfficial 1mm over 600mm is not very accurate. Use the same level over an 8m pool coping and the water level said we were way out
25012021: Why the rings doesn't touch the bubble on the right and the left???????????????????

Short version of Stabila reply: The bubble changes size with temperature.
