Of course Vera'd sympathise with Sarah regardless, but watching this I recall now that she was the best friend of Sarah's dead grandmother-who CERTAINLY wouldn't hold back in talking to Todd. I imagine he'd get a slap too if she was still alive!
I know I’m years late to this show. But OMG. She doesn’t deserve another baby. Only to teach one more human how to be totally selfish. That’s how sad the writers are for this show.

Alex Kelly back then words like that were more or less normal especially in soap dramas but I agree that now days it would deemed highly inappropriate and homophonic to say the least!
