Google screw loyal Nexus owners. I too haven't gotten the latest Nougat OTA update on my N6 even after the October security patch. We get no Google Assistance or even unlimited Photo storage. And now with many flagship phones coming out with 7.0, it really makes me question Google's devotion for promised and timely updates.

So, if you join the beta program you can get the latest stable OTA of Nougat 7.0. It's a non-beta OTA. Still though, we're slow to receive the update. AND I want my unlimited full res Photos. We're loyal customer's here, not a band wagoner.
