@𝕶𝖔𝖛𝖆𝖙𝖈𝖍 that video got me into Dying Wish, the philly church one. First time I heard them and I listened to that set a 100 times, honestly more so than the records and the records are great. Incredible set, so much energy. This one too. Dying Wish rocks.
@@wiscxrise 100% agreed. I'll be seeing them at LDB this year and they're easily one of my most anticipated bands. The energy and the music are top tier
I discovered them off a mutual like on twitter 2 years ago, listened to them ever since, then Emma was in Serpents Touch with knocked loose and man, the love grew since. Such a sick band.

They killed it in Houston in December. I'm 32 and I never moshed so hard in my life during all the bands. Also loved how they did the extended part from 3:50 with the bass drop.
that show was so fuckin gnarly! bought the ticket for sysc, but shortly fell in love with every band on the ticket. dying wish easily became one of my favorite bands afterwards, their energy is unreal
I'm so lucky I got to see this tour, first show since covid. My god it was so amazing! I got a mic grab from dying wish, I got to buy Connie from SYSC a drink, and I got to see the band that saved my life play songs off private room and NLTL, fucking INCREDIBLE tour
Saw them in Hamburg, germany with Lionheart, Terror and Get The Shot. Loved Dying Wish before but def loved them even more after the show. I love Emmas vocals even who some people don't think it's "good". But that band has a special place in my heart.
I looooove FoaBM, but I just don't get how Em's screaming vocals changed so much from the album to the live performances. I had to double check that they didn't change vocalists after the album came out
Her style for the album wasn't sustainable for touring. It's kind of easy to forget with how much they've blown up since they put out the full length, but they were a small band that didn't do that many shows so her technique hadn't really been stress tested in the way a month long tour would. There are some videos back around the time touring really started up again, like Furnace Fest '21, where her voice is clearly fucked and that obviously wasn't going to work with their ambitions. Can't remember exactly where, but I saw her do an interview where she said she's still learning about what her voice is capable of, for now this higher scream is the most sustainable thing, but it could still end up changing in the future.
@@sockwithaticket I'm a vocalist and talked to her about it in Hamburg on the Lionheart tour. Just as you said she is still growing as a vocalist but she is a good vocalist! She is fully in control but the tone she is producing is not "traditional" sounding so many people are thinking it sounds horrible. First clue to anyone thinking that she's hurting her voice, just have to listen to her clean vocals in the set. They are clean and controlled. if she was doing something wrong in the screams it would be heard in her cleans and speaking. I spoke to her 5 minutes after she was off stage and she was in such good shape, you wouldn't think she just did a high energy set!
Is that a different singer? Might be a stupid question, but I just discovered this band on Spotify like half hour ago. Watching live videos the vocals sound completely different (?)
@@joseancolon-xm1yhyou think that's different, go check out their recordings under their original name "Trust Issues". Emma's vocals have really come a long way since those earliest releases.
Lots of internet comments about how at their show she had blown her voice out previously so the vocals were poor. Maybe this is her trying to make this sustainable?

dude agreed. I saw them in asbury nj and its a top 5-7 show of my life so far
especially hearing counterparts play monument. I lost my shit (my fav song by them)
Do you happen to know who did the guest spot on enemies on red? It doesn't sound like any of the vocalists on that tour, but I may be wrong
Sunny Singh saved metal.
Syncronized scissor kicks... oh thats next level.

This tour was unbelievable
Wish I could see it once a month
I hit the Chicago show, which was exactly 1 day before Dying WIsh joined the tour 😢
It really was. I caught the Pittsburgh show.
That extended breakdown at the end of Fragments is the sickest thing I’ve ever seen.
uhhh that new song RIPS! that end breakdown felt like some beatdown, i like that! can’t wait for that drop.
