'Gumnaami' is a film based on the Mukherjee Commission Hearings which happened from 1999 to 2005 where the three theories about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's death were discussed and debated. In contradiction to previous claims, a journalist comes up with a theory revolving around the mysterious existence and death of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as Gumnaami Baba.

Just for a change in this matter ....I would say problem is not the system... It is international relation ... Partial support or not is all politics ....no govt would accept that india at any point in time had helped a " war criminal " or "terrorist "( according to the allies not india ) survive in their country... Especially after signing the treaty that "he" would be handed over....
I can only be thankful for the govt that time that they did not hand him over to the allied forces ... And supported his safe existence in the country...( Mahatma Gandhi, indira gandhi and nehruji all knew he was alive , infact last are some records of indira gandhi vising him there with her children...also officially police were monitoring his health through govt doctor assigned to him and police were monitoring his cremation, all his Bengal friends were allowed to visit him but were officially given not to attend his cremation ceremony to avoid suspicions)
I guess ... We all believe this n respect his contribution to the country and love him .... But we should not hope for the official acceptance of the theory for the greater good of the country ....( Even his own brother did not meet him just sent messages and not even told his own daughter about uncle being alive,netaji did himself not attend any functions in hom no his parents cremation whom he loved the most to avoid any suspicions ) .... For the same "greater good for the country" for which netaji not only sacrificed his credit and career but also his life (in loneliness and misery). We should leave the matter here.
