यह डॉक्यूमेंट्री टेक उद्योग, विज्ञान और राजनीति के प्रमुख लोगों पर आधारित है, जो दुनियाभर में आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस पर काम कर रहे हैं. उन्हें बहुत ही कम समय में दूरगामी निर्णय लेने का काम सौंपा गया है. साइंस फिक्शन डिस्टोपिया को रोकते हुए टेक्नॉलजी की क्षमता का उपयोग कैसे किया जा सकता है? वर्तमान में उभरते सुपर-इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर के संभावित लाभ इसके होने वाले खतरों की तरह ही असीमित हैं. उत्तरार्द्ध में दुष्प्रचार और चुनाव में हेरफेर, साथ ही युद्ध और निगरानी के बदलते रूप पर रोशनी डाली गई है.
यह फिल्म तीन लोगों पर केंद्रित है, जिनके स्टार्ट-अप जेनरेटिव एआई के क्षेत्र में सबसे बड़ी कंपनियों में शुमार हैं. एलेफ अल्फा (जर्मनी) से योनास एंड्रलस, ओपन-सोर्स प्लेटफॉर्म हगिंग फेस (फ्रांस) से थॉमस वोल्फ और जीना.एआई (चीन) से हान शियाओ. निर्देशक डोमिनिक ब्रेच का कैमरा पूरे एक साल इनका पीछा करता रहा. 2023 के वसंत से लेकर, जब ओपन एआई पर होने वाली बहस के साथ यह टेक्नॉलजी अचानक सुर्ख़ियों में आ गई.
इन तीनों के लिए यह सब एक तेज़ गति वाली और कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धी दुनिया में पैसे, प्रभाव और आर्थिक अस्तित्व की लड़ाई है, जो किसी भी अन्य क्षेत्र की तुलना में बहुत तेजी से बदल रही है. चीन ने दुनियाभर में टेक्नॉलजी पर हावी होने का लक्ष्य तय किया है. अमेरिका ऐसा होने से रोकना चाहता है. वहीं यूरोप, जो दो प्रतिस्पर्धी महाशक्तियों के बीच फंसा हुआ है, उसे अपना रास्ता खुद खोजना होगा. जो लोग अब हारेंगे, उन्हें दूसरा मौका नहीं मिलेगा. यह फिल्म तकनीकी दुनिया में पर्दे के पीछे की दुनिया हमारे सामने लाती है और तकनीकी क्रांति के पीछे के लोगों से हमारा परिचय कराती है.
