Explore New Prenn Pass Road | The Most Beautiful Pass Road in Da Lat | Milo Vo

Today's video would like to invite you and your family to watch the Prenn Pass in Da Lat, which has just been opened for about 3km.
The journey will go in the direction of Nguyen Van Cu, or alternatively, follow Tran Quoc Toan street towards Lam Vien Square.
Then follow the roundabout onto Ho Tung Mau street and go straight to Highway 20 in the direction of the interprovincial bus station. Go about 3 km to reach Prenn pass. When I went at the end of December 2023, Da Lat's weather was quite cold, daytime temperatures ranged from 17 to 20 degrees. So when traveling to Da Lat this season, you need to prepare enough warm clothes.
In the video, I will record the entire journey down to Datanla Waterfall Resort and back to Da Lat. So you can admire this most beautiful pass in Da Lat from different angles.
On December 14, 2023, Prenn Pass was opened for the first 3km starting from the interprovincial bus station to Datanla waterfall tourist area. Connecting Da Lat city with tourist areas, including Tuyen Lam Lake national tourist area. Of which, about 4 km remaining from Datanla waterfall to the foot of the pass is being urgently constructed, expected to open to traffic near the Lunar New Year.
After upgrading, the road surface width will increase from 7m to 14m with 4 lanes. Stretches 7.4 km. Design speed 40km/h. This is an important gateway road leading to Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway and Lien Khuong airport. This is also a vital traffic road connecting Da Lat with the southern provinces.
About the history of Prenn Pass. The current Prenn Pass was built by French contractor Gross in February 1943 to replace the old Prenn Pass road from Prenn Waterfall to the center of Da Lat.
The pass has 79 curves, of which 18 curves have a radius of 40 m, other curves have a radius of 50-1,000 m, with a maximum inclination of 3-7%.
In the early 2000s, to meet the growing traffic demand, the government had a plan to restore the old Prenn Pass to create two parallel roads connecting to Da Lat city and organize one-way traffic. on each road.
The upgrading of the old Prenn Pass was completed in 2002 and the road was later named Mimosa Pass.
However, the organization of one-way traffic was not implemented, instead, Mimosa Pass became a route for trucks transporting agricultural products from Da Lat to other provinces.
Currently, Mimosa Pass is still the main road to Da Lat until Prenn Pass is completed.
