I purchased the 6 inch extension kit from fatbaggers for my bar rise. I had no idea they had these also. Will be purchasing for sure. Thanks for the video and information!
Just subscribed I have a Fat Baggers clutch adjuster on my 2021 RGS I have been saying alot to other bloggers about this but ignored go figure Thanks !!
A lot of those people that blow it off are “professionals” and know everything and probably after you mentioned it they went and bought one but didn’t wanna give credit 🤦♂️ feel free to share and be like TOLD YA SO 🤣🤣
The 22xe is a GREAT cam option….a lot of people love it, if I was you I would wait till your warranty is out and then do a cam, cause you just did a stage 1 and so you’d have to end up buying the cam kit from fuel moto and a powervision. The Harley tuner wouldn’t work
Put one on my 23 RKS and I have another one I still need to put on my 23 CVO RG. It’s a great product! I didn’t have to loosen the clutch at the primary though. Great video
I was in the middle of doing a service on that bike, so that’s why I took it out of adjustment at the primary….also of the cable is stretched enough, like between services it can be done easily. Thank you ! Just trying to keep up with a growing channel like yours !! lol
@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures I’m starting to realize that….ive had quick and early success and I’ve had to lower those expectations and just try being consistent and let that pay off
What’s sad is the fact that H-D made this two piece clutch cable this way in the first place. I’m sure their reasoning was simplicity but I believe it’s got more to do with cost. The only thing plastic I’d expect on a clutch cable is the coating. Hey friend how’s the Dyna coming along?
Yeah….its alllllll cost related and some millennial engineer that came up with the idea and everyone was like this is dumb but couldn’t tell them that cause it would hurt or offend them 🤣 The dyna…..ugh😞 I got a new crank trued and welded but now I have to order cases, the cases a friend gave me were trash sooooo…….yeah now I’ve gotta shit another $1000 for a set of 110 cases
So I got used to the hydro clutch and liked it ! But here’s the problem…..NOBODY maintained the fluid so people bitched to Harley customer care they were losing clutch pressure and having engagement issues so they canned it, reinvented the wheel and now we have this shit lol
Thanks dude! Congrats on the new to you bike! So yeah if you’re someone that likes to do things your self….go to your local dealer and purchase a service manual. It will be your best friend. The only thing I would be concerned about on that bike would be the coolant pump, make sure it has the upgraded coolant pump. If it does then you really don’t have anything to worry about except oil changes, tire changes and brake pads
@@stefancooper3848the best way I can tell you is pull that front black plastic cover at the front of your bike, it just pops off. If the pump is long and skinny it’s the old pump, if the pump is fat and round that will be the new style pump. Of it has the new pump your good if it has the old pump The only thing to look for will be a coolant light will come on and a P1019 ECT DIFFERENCE (high temp) that’s basically your coolant temp sensor reading too high of a water temp. Will illuminate. That is a clear indication the old pump failed.
One of the first things I replaced! Could not get my clutch cable to stay adjusted with the OEM plastic contraption no matter how many times I tried. Plus I didn't want to wait for it to fail. That little red tab is garbage and obviously designed to fail. Fat Baggers is the way to go. Very happy with the results.
If you replace your handle bars with fat bagger 14 inch bars, with replacing the clutch cable with braided line does that come with the new cable, if you get the clutch cable from fat baggers?
So most of the aftermarket companies made the threaded adjuster for the M8 like what it used to be. Now fatbaggers has a cable kit that is a clutch extension, it’s basically a metal rod lol and a “quick bleed brake line. You’d still have to get one of those things I showed in the video cause the fatbagger clutch extension is hard on the factory adjuster because of the angle it puts it at. I’m not really a huge fan of the fatbaggers cable extension kit, to me if you’re doing bars do it right and get cables that fit….yes it’s gonna be extra work but it’s worth it.
Hello sean I have a 2010 ultra classic and my clutch doesn't engage until half way out. I've did adjustments in the primary cover and the line. Is there something else that I can do to adjust. I have screaming eagle clutches installed about 1 year ago. Thank you in advance and thank you for all the great videos
My fault….i saw SE clutches and assumed like a dummy it was a CVO 🤦♂️🤣 So the typical clutch adjustment is a 1/2 turn out at the clutch basket. You could try adjusting to 3/4-1 full turn out this will allow less throw on the clutch plates meaning the lever will let out closer to the grip. I have the SE plates in my bike and they have ALWAYS released out towards the end BUT I also like that cause I can 2 finger my clutch
I’ve been watching your videos. I’ve have learned a few things along the way. Would you consider doing a video on a instruction of how to install the 500 W Harley Rockford amp. I’ve been getting some, I’ll say humorous statements from some Harley dealers that a person can’t do it. It takes a special cable and it has to be flashed by the dealer. But Harley‘s instructions aren’t like that at all. Thanks
All good, I will talk to the owner about doing a Rockford audio upfit. I will let you know in a few days when I might be able to make this video happen. I have not personally installed the Rockford on a 24 yet but one of the other techs did and it looked pretty straight forward. And I’m not 100% sure I saw him use the shop computer to “flash” for the audio
Well in terms of technology and operating systems that is old….hell todays computers will be old tech tomorrow 🤷♂️ Those 60yr old bikes aren’t old those are awesome examples of a simpler time. @frankmarkovcijr5459

Talking about cable clutches, my 2015 road king has a cable clutch, I have not seen another ?
So roadkings were still clutch cable street glides, road glides and ultras/limiteds were hydraulic

If I’m not mistaken that’s a hydraulic clutch being a CVO correct ?
