The House of The Dead 2 always gave me the chills as a kid because of how the sky moved too fast, that and how they nearly always use organs for musical themes, chapters included. The two final bosses seemed a lot more towering because of those two reasons.

Emperor is a joke, his big red heart is easy to shoot and his final attack its just orbs that surround the heart and its so slow you can kill it before it even gets near you, you are a loser if you find Emperor hard and Emperor has the worst boss design in the series!
Silent Taked0wn one interesting thing about The World to me is not just the theme song, but also the game's interface. At the moment you have reached The World, the phone says that it has an unknown weakness. There was no logic to it. People said that the red core in its chest is the obvious one. It's not actually a joke. After looking carefully, everytime you destroy The World's creations that was meant to take damage for you (the frozen axe for example and you destroy it), The World will also take damage to it. This explains why the phone from the start says that it has no weakness. Pure and simple, The World has multiple weaknesses. Seeing the other bosses, the phone can detect their weakpoints because it is located on one point. Compared to the Magician's boss battle, it is like you are just plain hitting on the whole body itself (if we assume that the three hearts were not mentioned in the game because HoTD 1 comes before HoTD 2). I maybe went off the topic (sry about that) but I just shared what I have noticed.
Nanachi I think it is because of their leisure time as a kid and they have probably played HoTD 1 multiple times long ago. Well I cannot blame them for what they desire better XD

But the twist here is the number of magazines the protagonist can carry hahahaha (well it's unrealistic if they have unlimited ammo in a movie). And yes, I think The Magician is their main pseudonym because it was revived multiple times. The Star was the third magician because of it's behaviour that is the same as The Magician. This actually reminds me of the HoTD 1 on how fast can you kill The Magician. I still remember that it was around 59 seconds is the best time but my record is only 1"10 seconds because of frustration on clicking the mouse (those awesome days) and the first boss as well the Chariot. I can still remember I had 19 seconds so far on it. But right now, I think HoTD won't be around much for a while or not much of attention. Maybe it would be Virtual Reality at next, it would be awesome.

That's cool. Although, I would say the magician is first, the wheel of fate second, the world third and emperor is last. I don't really like the emperor, lame design, lame theme, and lame battle.
Plus they represent the elements think about this: Magician weilds Pyromancy Emperor weilds metal bending (i think) Wheel of Fate weild Electromancy and finally, The World weilds Cryomancy
The game is longer than the other games and zombiess and bosses are harder but you get to purchase bigger guns the more points you get, i doubt you can defeat the first boss Jasper
you start with the standard ams gun but then can get uzi , shot gun, assault rifle and even minigun and Mother is easy cause you always have a Minigun fighting her but with normal gun you are toast
But the hardest bosses in the game are Crawler and lobber, they are harder than any boss in the series even Magician and Wheel of Fate, I say that having played OG HOD 1 back in 2001 and have played every HOD game since and Crawler and Lobber are harder than any boss ever in the series, but I don't think you can afford it.
You did miss the arcade version of HotD 1's Magician theme, but I would really like to hear it from the original Model 2 arcade hardware and not the Nebula Model 2 Emulator. Unfortunately, ripping music out of PCBs seems fairly hard to do for a lot of people.
