My first Eurovision! I cheered that year for Sweden and Charlotte. This song was first of many reasons why I love Eurovision. This song gives me a goosebumps and nostalgia. Thank you Sweden for music!
*FUN FACT:* among the backing vocalists are Gabriel Forss (represented Sweden at Eurovision 1997 as member of the boy band Blond) and Sahlene who represented Estonia at Eurovision 2002 and was a back vocal for several countries throughout the years.
I think this is the most underrated of all Swedish wins. I think people even forgets that it won. Most of the other winners they can name but somehow this one slips under the radar. But it is a worthy winner
Fun fact: Will Ferrell's wife, who hails from Sweden, introduced him to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999. Who ever would have guessed that her country would win that year, or that Ferrell would become such a big fan of the show, he would make his own movie about the Contest?
yea, and during the last part of the song, they were singing in their native languages (Charlotte singing in Swedish and the rest of the contestants singing in Croatian, Slovene, Estonian, Hebrew, German, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Icelandic, Greek, Turkish, French, Lithuanian, Bosnian, Portuguese, Maltese, Norwegian & Irish)
Despite my general music taste steering in quite a different direction, this has been my Eurovision no1 winner ever since I saw it win in 1999. I remember once when visiting Stockholm 20 years later this song randomly came on at a restaurant I was wayyyy too excited
This song was obviously and clearly inspired by "All I want for Christmas is you" released in 1994, a worldwide hit wriiten and composed by both Walter Afanasieff and Mariah Carey.
Talking Flower: Oh Hi Charlotte Nilsson! (Know As Perrelli.) Talking Flower Two: WHOA! Charlotte What A Pretty Pink Outfit Wearing and Look Gorgeous and Swedish Lady She is! Talking Flower Three: What Impressive Swedish Dance Moves Charlotte...I Like It. Talking Flower Four: I Must Say Charlotte Nilsson Or I Should Say Petfer Perrelli Your Last Name. Talking Flower Five: Time! To! Swedish! Dance! Beat! Talking Flower Six: I Always Love Charlotte Dance Moves...Looking Cool! Talking Flower Seven: I Love Sweden So Much! Talking Flower Eight: Yeah! So Am I! All Talking Flower: Amazing!🏵️💕🌟📺🇪🇺🇸🇪
Not bad ..but it needs a stronger bass...To become more rock!It has this potential! At least in the first half, then it becomes stronger..But again, not as strong as it could ..
It's nostalgia Eurovision you are best show in Europe
I totally agree with you. The real Eurovision party 🎉🎉🎉
So ABBA's rythyms!!!
My first Eurovision!
I cheered that year for Sweden and Charlotte.
This song was first of many reasons why I love Eurovision.
This song gives me a goosebumps and nostalgia.
Thank you Sweden for music!
The stage was perfect for this song. Charlotte had one of the best voices of the evening and a catchy song that Europe couldn’t resist. 12 points! ❤
*FUN FACT:* among the backing vocalists are Gabriel Forss (represented Sweden at Eurovision 1997 as member of the boy band Blond) and Sahlene who represented Estonia at Eurovision 2002 and was a back vocal for several countries throughout the years.
Micke Blomqvist, one of the other BVs, also helped Måns win in 2015
those 2 people u mentioned above also backed Claudette Pace for Malta in 2000
I think this is the most underrated of all Swedish wins. I think people even forgets that it won. Most of the other winners they can name but somehow this one slips under the radar. But it is a worthy winner
Croatia should have won that year
@@colonel_xo3728 They also should not have cheated that year by using simulated vocals:)

That movie saved whatever sanity I had left in 2020, when Eurovision was cancelled due to covid
Bro that's one of the best esc winners like seriously I hear this song 24/7
I always confuse this with a Christmas song
@@danuostret1900 Same
Same, Specifically When I First Heard It
Stolen Croatian and Doris :(
It does sound like a Christmas singer song, doesn’t it.
Great now i want a eurovision Christmas edition
Remember when everybody was singing on stage after Charlotte sang the winning song just they sang peace after the show was over.
yea, and during the last part of the song, they were singing in their native languages (Charlotte singing in Swedish and the rest of the contestants singing in Croatian, Slovene, Estonian, Hebrew, German, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Icelandic, Greek, Turkish, French, Lithuanian, Bosnian, Portuguese, Maltese, Norwegian & Irish)
The best Swedish victory ✌️ 🇸🇪
💫❤💫❤💫❤
Euphoria and Waterloo are much better than this
Beautiful song. Sweden 🇸🇪 you did that! Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱🇸🇪❤️
Love it! Love the picture quality.
See how different and sedate the audience is. How crazy they would be going now!
At that time you had to be invited to ESC. Now everybody can go
The queen is here love from austria 🇦🇹❤🇸🇪
One of my favourite songs of ESC. Great Charlotte!!
Sounds too much like Abba and Waterloo.
this is the closest thing eurovision has to a christmas song
Bosnia & Herzegovina 2005: hold my beer...
@ wait ur so valid for that
You want to sing with her and go to this era ❤🤘 Sometimes I miss these "so peaceful and friendly" songs I must confess 🙏
I love to see my favourite acts get published in their full HD quality!!❤❤❤
This song is a masterpiece. This is magnificent performance. Some songs will be remembered. Like this one. I like this.
No it isn't. Sounds like a bad copy of Waterloo by Abba.
Best song ever❤
It reminds Abba a lot of this song
I fell in love with this song ❤️
She is an icon, she is the legend and she is the moment ❤
25 years after Waterloo, 15 years after Diggiloo-Diggiley and 8 years after Fangad ad em stormvind
Congratulations again ❤❤🎉🎉 I very very love this song from Azerbaijan 🇦🇿🤍🇸🇪
keep in mind when your country debuted in 2008, she performed "Hero"
Обожаю!! Мурашки всегда! Ностальжи! Праздник! Песня причем невысокая, а из-за плотной пачки бэков звучит шикарнейше!! 🥹🪄
Рамин, какими судьбами?
This song feels so wintery but the backing singers are supertanned.
And there is a huge sun behind them
This song to me has vibes of “All I want for Christmas” but with a pitch change.
One of the best songs, Eurovision or not
This was the first Eurovosion I watched at 10 years old and first winner I remember.
This always feels to me like ABBA meets Christmas! It feels right idk. What an epic combo! Thanks Sweden 🇸🇪
I was thinking the same exact thought!
The bass and melody sounds similar to Wizzard's "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every day"
Despite my general music taste steering in quite a different direction, this has been my Eurovision no1 winner ever since I saw it win in 1999. I remember once when visiting Stockholm 20 years later this song randomly came on at a restaurant I was wayyyy too excited
Fantastic ! ❤
Amzing song
This was the first time I saw Eurovision and I fell in love forever I was 6 years old 🤩🤩😍
She copied Petra's outfit in "Love Love Peace Peace" 😁
Charlotte was first so how could she copy Petra? If anything Petra was doing tribute to Charlotte (and Mans to Dima Bilan).
@@JAN-qf5yt I know. Just joking 😃😉
Someone had to say that
When i see this Entry i always think ... Iceland 🇮🇸 should have won it
I mean when you think about it this song did nothing different that ABBA did 25 years prior
I am here for new year❤
Me gusta mucho la canción pero ese ello se merecía ganar más Croacia y la canción María Magdalena
I have a feeling that the next Eurovision winners are France and Serbia
If only !...
❤❤❤
This song was obviously and clearly inspired by "All I want for Christmas is you" released in 1994, a worldwide hit wriiten and composed by both Walter Afanasieff and Mariah Carey.
And it sounds like Doodle Do Theme Song
@hibbiea8841 Exactly ! 👍😅😂
To me it sounds more like "I Wish It Could Be Christmas" by Wizzard, mashed with a bit of Abba's "Waterloo" 😊
Hope for Greece 2001 to be uploaded here🙏

When Sweden was still Swedish.
What do you mean? Its not in Swedish and also Sweden still to this day sends acts that feels Swedish because Sweden is the pop capital of Europe ....
Veličanstveni hit - pop evergreen.

Queen Charlottee

Nice. Odlična pesma. Zaslužena pobeda. Na žalost nisam gledao taj Eurosong 1999. godine. Jer je moja Srbija te godine bombardovana.
You forgot "that took place in Jerusalem, Israel" 🇮🇱
Serbia ,Italy,Sweden,Ukraine,Norway the best country Eurovision!
Please do Sandie Shaw 1967
Winner of the Eurovision in Jerusalem 🇮🇱 ❤🇸🇪
Тогда должна была победить Мария Магдалена😢
Who's here at the first 24 hours?
you gotta atleast have some kind of grey thumbnail for artists that passed. I thought Charlotte Perelli passed away.
Shes very much alive and well
Can you do Lithuania 2002
Do sweden 1974 waterloo
Any one knows why in 2000 she doesn’t appear on the stage?
Conflict with the broadcaster

Take me to Basel in May
Maria Magdalena should've won 1999

Змінилася Шарлотта. Я б її не впізнала раніше 😁
She looks like a skinnier version of Capaldi.. Make of that what you will.
Here is where it all started, the anti-swedish curse.
I like it, but imo it's the worst song of that year's top 5.
💪🔥✨💪🇦🇿🇹🇷👎🇸🇪
Undeserved winner. Iceland or Croatia should have won that year.
to much Abba and Waterloo
So bad
ist das lied langweilig. wie schlecht waren denn die anderen dann
Omg nooooo Lenn! Not a good song and to regular.
I am glad to Sertab (our proud❤❤) to give some show to eurovision. It seems like it was too ridiculous before all of that😅
Boring song 🥱
