- Welcome to our Mid-century styled home! Thanks for watching our Part 2 video featuring pretty vintage green Pyrex, glass and pottery, plus adorable ceramic figurines (lots of S&Ps) displayed in our DINING ROOM and KITCHEN for March!
We've always enjoyed thrifting and antiquing for vintage and MCM furniture, lighting, kitchen items, and fabulous accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005. Our home is constantly changing as we find more fun vintage items at antique and thrift stores in MN and WI. We look forward to reading your comments. We are very GRATEFUL for your kind support!

I love the antique tooth brush holder and the green lucite candles with the table cloth! You own such lovely things, tremendous collections. I’m so pleased for Norm that his surgery has been done and he can now look forward to feeling better.

💚all your pretty glass. The gold and green would be pretty in the fall too display too. I have a similar Fenton hobnail fluted vase but mine is in a spring green not olive colored. My daughter bought it for me last spring for my birthday.

Such a perfect tablecloth for you! Is that Norm perfect now after surgery? I was thinking his surgery was not until 27 or 28 but see all the comments. Hope he is doing well with no pain! Very fancy toothbrush holder and so pretty. I like that word “kitchenalia.” The spellcheck is telling me it is not correct but we know better. That was a fun idea to put the green grapes in the pitcher and it looks so pretty. Such a cute happy frog! Another great video!!
Hi Diane! Thank you for watching another video and writing your kind and fun message, as always.💕 Unfortunately, things have not gone well for Norm. 😒 I was told to get him to an ER very late last night. His incusion was bleeding badly. So we had to get him back to the hospital by ambulance at midnight. I haven't driven since back surgery in 2013, and we've had awful winter weather here since Sunday with lots of snow and accidents.
They let him decide to come home yesterday afternoon instead of staying overnight, and he regrets doing that. He came home at 4 pm. and was nauseous after walking in. But he was starving, so I fed him a bit.
He was miserable all evening with too much pain to move. His prescription wasn't enough to help. He decided he wanted to change all his clothes around 10:30 pm (thank goodness). He needed my help, and I saw a lot of blood on his white support belt. He said, "Wait till you see my t-shirt!" 😱
Oh my goodness! I said we need to call a nurse line! She heard the story and said you need to go to an ER. They picked him up around midnight.
You wouldn't believe the weather here today. It looks like January.
So Norm didn't call me until 7:30 this morning. They were giving him enough pain relief and offered him some breakfast, and they were trying to get a room ready. The surgeon's associate Dr was going to try to squeeze in Norm to see if a staple came loose and make sure it's not internal.😳 I talked to him at 10 a.m. and 1:30 today. He hadn't seen that Dr yet. I just hope he stays overnight this time. So that's all I know so far. He is relieved to now be getting a higher medication dose.

@@Crazy4Retro That sounds just horrible! I can empathize because after a hysterectomy, my stitches came undone and I was too embarrassed to call for help because I thought I had wet the bed. When the nurse came in to check on me, she had them rush me to the operating room. So sorry he had such pain. Did not realize that you do not drive so can only imagine you are feeling such stress right now. You all are in my prayers!

i collect all green my kitchen has green glassware cr& gr granite have detriot jewel 1920 stove. so i loved all he green the green, crochet potholders are great.love the green spices face it i love it all teehee

I am sure this is a dumb question but were the lucite candles meant to be burned. Prayers to Norm.
Hi Barb! So nice to hear from you again ;-) Those are regular Lucite candles, very hard resin-like, so they wouldn't burn (melt some maybe). I have found several Lucite candles that had lost their wick that is like gold chording. It would be putsy, but I believe it's possible to glue a piece of that kind of cord in them. You may have to carefully drill out the old glued in remaining piece if there ever was one. Just another crazy project that I haven't asked Norm to do for me. We hope you've been doing well! Can't thank you enough for your sweet gifts. I still need to find a time to show off that cool candle holder and green candles that you gifted to me! We hope your spring will be sweet and we wish you a very blessed Easter. Hugs!
