Holy Haul Batman! You got some great stuff. I’m lucky enough to have a great LNS about an hour away. Close enough that if I really need something I have access but not so close that I can pop in all the time. And you’re right about seeing the fabric in person rather than buying online. It’s so much better.
I love RSS and their Halloween lines! I am definitely spoiled in Calgary for options (both needlework and quilting) but I feel like the American ones are even bigger!
Ya this store was massive! It was so much fun. I'll have to check out some shops next time I'm in Calgary. I'm not there often but drive through every couple years,
Nice to see you again! Love your projects and purchases. I finished Mistletoe Loitering Society earlier this year. Still need to get it fully finished. I'm also doing the Holiday Countdown. Currently I'm working on an ornament for an exchange. Then I need to finish a gift for my parents. I'm stitching Survivor from M Designs for them in pink and blue, the colors of the cancers they survived. I just finished reading Travis Baldree's second book, Bookshop and Bonedust and loved it. Have fun at the Jingle Ball.
Ooo my friend just lent me that book! I’ve only read one chapter so far but I know I’m going to love it. And sounds like you’ve got quite a few plans to see you through the holiday season!
Beautiful fabric purchases. Those Gloriana silks are stunning! I'm just working on ornaments for now. Thinking of starting The Fox by Cottage Garden for my December birthday.
The applique project you purchased looks to be for wool felt not cotton fabric. You could use cotton fabric but you have to stitch closer around the edges. I have a Santa full coverage I am planning to start. I like your New Year's plan. I could stitch for 12hours but I don't like starting so many projects back to back. I like starting a project on Jan 1. Planning on starting the MFE 2024 SAL that day.
A suggestion for your Liz Matthews tree, I made the Hands on Design trees from last year at the Jingle Ball, I bought a set of three metal buckets that came with a tray from Dollarama (I’m in Coquitlam) and used the green styrofoam in them and then attached a wooden dowel. If you need more weight, rocks or something heavy could go underneath the styrofoam. I’m sure you could buy one bucket (they’re not huge) rather than the three. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the video! Love seeing your stitching and haul. Those silk threads are gorgeous ❤ I'm stitching a small mill hill. So many color changes 😱 Spent Thanksgiving binge watching WWDITS. Only have one episode left 😭 Fell in love with the show 🦇🦇 Have fun at the jingle ball. Good luck on your tree stitch/finish.
All de things! Apparently it is called self care, I was told when fretting over what I spent during Black week. X) Stitching: not the Dark queen that was Supposed to be my November focus. I got stuck and life happened so I been working on a printed canvas Nightmare before Christmas pattern. And now I am so close to a finish so I should finish this year (especially as I keep procrastinating my xmas cleaning for it..) My Christmas stitching is, maybe the same as you got, Advent box. Bought among much else, Dave the diver. Not sure when I will find time for that. Also tempted to try and attend the Jingle ball
Oooo have fun with Dave the Diver (whenever you get the chance). It’s so fun. And that sounds like it was a great focus piece for November. I love Nightmare Before Christmas.
I'm working on Yule Pentacle by kixstitches, I need to finish it by Christmas. Masked Singer is my reality tv fix. Only one I watch. I do want to watch the horror themed Drag show on Shudder.
Loving your projects as always. The Hat Fits is great!

Omgoodness i was thinking the exact same thing. Amazing haul🤤🤤🤤😍😍😍
Thank you! I have so much fun anytime I’m in a proper needlework store. So many pretty things.
Love your purchases and plans ..I too am starting the Evertote SAL..can’t wait to see what materials 😊
Me too! It’s been a struggle resisting opening that box hahaha. Only a couple more days now.
Your fabric choices are gorgeous! Congrats on the fabulous stash.
Thank you so much!

Oh yes the Fox is lovely. I have that pattern as well. That would be a great birthday start.
So many beautiful new patterns! I also am starting Christmas Garden this December. I did buy the called for online and am rethinking my choice 😅
It’s such a gorgeous piece! Excited to see what yours looks like in the end.
You could swap out the flag for a quilt 😀and hand made by Sarah W is doing the LM Pumpkin house she has some good tips tfs🤗
Ooooo that’s a great idea. That would definitely work. And thanks for the tip!
