Self Acclaimed first daughter of Rawlings storms funeral

- A woman who claims to be the daughter of the late Jerry John Rawlings caused a scene when she showed up at his funeral ground on Tuesday morning. The body of Rawlings has been lying-in-state at the Accra International Conference Centre, as mourners troop in to pay their last respects.
The funeral of the former President is currently ongoing, with dignitaries and former Heads of State expected to also pay their tributes today. However, the ceremony was interrupted when a woman claiming to be Rawlings’ daughter showed up at the venue.
Footages of the incident showed the woman exchanging words with the military men on duty after they appeared to have prevented her from entering.
It will be recalled that the said mysterious woman was recently in the news after claiming that the late Rawlings was her father. She claimed that Rawlings had an affair with her mother when he was an adolescent and was based in the Volta Region. According to her, her mother later got pregnant but had to keep it as a secret because the former President schooling at the time.
“My mother said Rawlings had to go to school and that if his family knew that he had impregnated her, he wouldn’t have had the opportunity to further his education so she kept it as a secret. They were childhood lovers and because of the love my mother had for him, she also didn’t mention him and got him to go to school,” she said on SVTV.

Is very painful to be deniel of your own father. We most all learn as ladies not to cover men when they pregnant us.
It is so sad seeing the innocent children go through these pains and sufferings. There are millions of children going through the same situation. It is very painful when people around you tag you a bastard. I went through that same situation. It is no fault of the child but it is child that ends going through all the shame, pain and suffering.
Do we know how painful it is when fathers refuse to take responsibility for their actions. The child did not ask you to bring him or her into this world but you did. After bringing him or her in to this world, you left that innocent child to her fate.
My only advice to the young women out there, please and please do not allow any a man who is not married to you to see your precious nakedness. You are so precious to God. Do not give in to a man who does not respect and cherish you enough to make you his wife. Do not let that innocent child suffer.
Honestly, I can feel the pain that woman is going through. How I wish Ex President Jerry John is not dead, to see the pain and the humiliation his daughter is going through because of the mistakes of the past.
Please, let us not judge him, I believe there are a lot of men out there who committed the same errors and are still committing them without any regret. These Children are your blood, they carry your blood in their veins. Do not allow these innocent children to pay for wrongs you the parent committed. These children have the right to be loved and catered for. It is your responsibility to protect your children and give them a name even if it is out of wedlock. Please, you women and mothers out there, lets accept and treat these children our husbands mistakenly gave birth to outside wedlock. They are not bastards neither are they illegal children.
Let this be a great lesson to the men out there and also to the women out there. No one will make you inferior unless you grant the other party the permission to do so. Let's protect the younger generation, for they are our future leaders who needed to be loved and guided in the right direction.
Indeed ..is the children that suffers ..expercially when they know their biological father's are prominent and able to help them in life ..some of them suffer mentally ..feeling rejected..so dad

Just a sad incident that happens for real in our African soceity ..she has been rejected by her own root's family ..and now portray as a nuisance by this army officers ..such a disgrace incident to Rawlings & family for not supporting all this children to become an important figures in Ghana .. . they were all kept as family secrets and neglected under the carpet ..hmm..they are also Ghanaians and his blood ..such a shame 😪 Rawlings family now has to reach out to all of the extended children .and give them help and acceptance to the family ..!

JJ's family knows her well, and for sure the children and their mum knows her too. I'm sure they even knows about those half Brothers and sisters, but they don't need them and even maybe are not ready to share everything with them. DNA must prove, and together, they needs one good lawyer.

She's grieving more cos seeing that your dad was around and you couldn't get closer to him because you were born and kept a secret. @ Ruth Germann, I understand and I feel bad for her, but everyone is talking about the public has a chance to view the body, why not even her? But the public are going in quietly, not causing a scene. The security guys are concerned of a huge blow up in there, and that will not look good for the family and for the father whose body she wants to see. That is why security is for at these kinds of events. Had she come quietly for the sake of saying goodbye, how would security know she was there in the first place? She’s brought unnecessary attention to herself. If my dad was not in my life and I wanted to view his body, I would come with the few family members who already know about me, she said some of the family know her. But if I show up at the event and cause a scene, of course security will stop me; if not, it’s a waste to hire security at such events
But why can’t they allow her to file past if the public is being allowed to view his remains ? Those in the family who know about her existence should have at least accompanied her today just to pay her respects. They didn’t try at all. Real pity... Ja, understood the whole story. If you had read my massage very well you will truly know that I didn't ask her not to join her family. I am of the opinion that since she had endured till the death of his father after his burial should meet JJ's family and talk things over than the seen she is creating there. I know Ghanaians and there culture of having children like this , their marriage and they're being accepted in the family so lots of such in Ghana but mine in this her case is to meet them later and everything will be solved. As for well it's been written since. My massage is for peace and nothing else. Even if they didn't allow her to see the dead body no problem after all when he was alive she didn't kil herself that JJ didn't bring her into the family.

I am sorry to say but if JJ did not accept and recognise her as his daughter when he was alive, she should not have gone. If she is his daughter, and possibly so, he should have done the right thing when he was alive. She should have been brought into the family whether Nana K agreed ot not. But he didn't. It is clear that if she wasnt accepted when he was alive, why would his widow accept her now. Yes it is very painful but she should have grieved in private and not gone to the funeral where there was a high possibility that she would be rejected again. Sad

They can push her, shov her or treat her like a comona, if she is his daughter, she takes equally what the others take. That is in an ideal world. In Ghana I am not very sure. Please, the people saying she is Rawlings's daughter should watch paternity court on TH-cam. She is not his daughter, her mom never made an attempt to contact Rawlings during her lifetime why would she be doing this when she's gone? She is not Rawlings's daughter. This lady is really misbehaving. We don't just go about insisting someone is our father without a paternity results. The security did well by denying her entry.

What I'm trying to say is there are ways of doing things ! JJ had several children in the background! I was brought up and grew up in Burma Camp!! My father was a soldier at the time when the British were handing over to the Ghana army
