Honestly my questions about JJ start and stop with how the Lakers will help him. He's going to be a good coach. Whether that's with the Lakers or not is a different question
I am bummed out because now he will not be calling games or doing analysis on the game, which was amazing! I wish him well but think he would have been happier and more successful doing his media thing instead of being called out for every loss that will happen this year!

Rebounding, Bounce pass, team defense, don't have to switch defense, double team tall dribblers, Read offense, and etc conditioning against injury prone league
Legs said that the Lakers weren't good from 3 (accuracy) last year. That's just straight untrue. They were 9th in the NBA in 3pt percentage. The issue is that they didn't take nearly enough.
Darvin Ham got way less criticism for his lack of adjustments and horrible game management. Also, his press conference answers were depressing after January. If JJ does any worse than Darvin Ham, he'll be called every name in the book, BY THE LAKER FANS

Eh.. maybe that’s a lesson in making the right friends.. all of these guys are former colleagues of JJ’s.. and, in sports/media, people respect a no-nonsense person who over-prepares for their job (in addition to having multiple other jobs).. he clearly made an impression while he was at ESPN.. And yea, it’s an experiment, for sure.. but if you look at the guy’s career and what he’s done since retiring, he’s maxed out his potential at every level.. I tend to expect a lot from coaches who weren’t talented enough to be *great* pro players, but had the mind/competitiveness of a great player.. usually means they’ve been ITCHING to affect winning in a way their bodies wouldn’t allow.. but now they can do it from a different angle..
