I have heard that more than 50 times before....I thought I was the only one to be happy watching the colours move and the cells pop....I can`t go a day without...LOL....looking at beautiful colours is powerfull......♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
OHHHHHH!!!! thank you sooooooooo much for this video!!! I have had so many fails, that I had given up....bought winsor and colour arte, but I was afraid to try it, because I did not want to spend anymore wasted money on failures! BUT! now that you have explained color pigments, I GET IT !! I was using the formula u use for good quality paint, with cheap craft paint! sooo now I'm going to make my own pouring medium. I also realized I was making my paint too thin....I noticed yours runs, but it still sticks to the stick, and I was adding too much water! Bows to the master, sinsai.....
Also I want to express my gratitude for all your teaching. As a teacher as well, I regard such generosity as the hallmark of excellent teaching. Lots of research and share it!
Love the wrap up! The biggest lesson I have learned from having coffee with you every morning is that there are many ways to achieve cells, so be free and enjoy and don't get so caught up on finding the exact right recipe. I am like a mad scientist in the laboratory and I always get great cells...even when I use left over house paint or nail polish in the mix! Thank you Annemarie:)
ohhh can you use nail polish instead of the silicone ?? That would be great as I have a stack of it I no longer use. Shal give it a go tomorrow. I am in Australia and been experimenting with pvc glue and medium with acrylics- sometimes with water and tried shampoo or detergent. No cells. So going to buy a heat gun and use your recipe and se how it works as everyone has been saying it's a great recipe. Thanks.
AnnMarie, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your videos. I watched many hours of your work before trying a pour. My first few attempts were a great success thanks to your great instructions!
So impressed by you on quatro counts: 1. Your Española pronunciation skills 2. Your Photoshop colourspace to printing skills, that's actually very hard to do, match a print with reality. 3. This very thorough breakdown of paint & mediums and their interactions! 4. Your ability to resist taking someone's money against your principles, and stick with providing the painting as a giveaway. Undalay, undalay, arrrrrrrrrriba .....BaYAYo!! ❤️you Bobbie Rossmarie
Thanks for explaining it all....it's much clearer now in my head! I've been following your posts for 2 weeks now....and yes I have watched them all within that time! I can truely say that you're my witty guardian angel! I haven't done any pouring yet.... to much different information out there....but with you, I think I'll be pouring this weekend my first pour! Yay!
Great video!! We all have to try the different recipes to see what works for us. What works for me in my climate maybe different than someone else in a different climate! Thank you, Annemarie!! The pour was beautiful!!!!!!
OH MY STARS... I JUST OUND YOUR VIDEO TODAY: 7/7.... Year ago when my girls were younger I used to fill a bucket with water and spray oil based spray paint into the bucket...It sat on the surface and then I would dip small wooden ornaments into the water and slowly pull them out. he process left swirls of paint on the inserted objects. This is a more exciting and advanced method of creating exciting works of art!!! I feel so blessed to have found you and your extremely inclusive videos!!! thank you for your time talent snd generosity!!!!
This video is exceptional, Annemarie ! Once again thank you for been so nice to us. You've been doing such a great work, not only with your pours but also for the humanity. God bless your heart and your life sweet lady.
I really appreciate you taking the time to show us the details of this fun art! Most of the others fly by in 3 minutes and they leave you guessing. I just love your work......:)
You are an amazing instructor. Such detailed descriptions and you ve helped me understand a lot of things about the technique as i live in Greece and have to search a lot to find supplies. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
your welcome and we do ship to Greece but shipping is expensive....you can mail an order and I will calculate and weigh it and then you can deside if you want it. ♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥ ♥Thank you for watching ♥
Thankyou sooo much for going into in depth details of mil litres and not percentages and showing how it's done EXACTLY!! Really appreciate you and your channel. So kind. Much ❤️
Thank you so much for all your experiments and discriptions. It is invaluable to learn everything from you. You are an extraordinary person and artist. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 😍
I've been looking for something fun and creative to do with my 13 year old son. Every night before bed we watch one of your videos. After watching this video I feel confident to get started. Can't wait!
I have been trying to work out how to do these kinds of "natural" effects for years, in my mind, due to no funds. If I ever save enough money, you will have saved me many expensive time wasting mistakes! Thank you so very much and three cheers for the Internet!!!
Your "give away painting" was STUNNING!!! Seriously stunning. :) and your final painting of this video was FANTASTIC! Thanks for your sharing your wisdom. I can't wait to hit the studio!
you are so amazing to inform people about all this. I go thru hard breakup and i only paint and watch your videos and its the best thing that could ever happen to me to get over it. Was also in Amsterdam couple weeks ago! Holland is amazing. And you are wonderful person. All my respect to your skills and devotion. Greetings from Prague!
Love the explanation and the end result!!!! (as usual ;) About the name of the paint, I will try to make it easy for you: VA(just like in valley) LLE ( just like in yes) JO (just like in holiday) so you have va-ye-ho!!! Voila!!! Perfect. You are a lovely person, thank you for sharing my morning coffee with you and enjoying your awesome work!!!!
Thank you, Annemarie, for this great video. It was very good to see and hear how you mix mediums for effects. And the pour came out beautiful too. I bought a coffee mug of yours with the last video you made, the one with four cups. My pour mediums are coming today. I plan to use the paints I have, all artist level ones, such as Golden (USA), Holbein (Japanese), and Nova paints from California. There is another from Australia that I like too. Mattise. So I've been painting since I was a teenager with big gaps in time when I was doing other things like working in a library and raising kids. And I should add doing a lot of singing in choirs, solos and directing some. So now I'm retired and am doing art--painting, dyeing fabric, art quilts, too. Now I'm an elder, not a "senior", but like to play at art. So much for a long introduction. But just wanted to write to you and all my new friends around the globe who do pouring art and are TH-camrs. Thanks and let's go for it!
That is really another BEAUTIFUL fluid painting! I loved the talk about pouring mediums even though I've watched all your videos up to this one so far. I'm having a catch up day sitting on deck by lake Minnewaska in MN after all our company for the 4th has left. It is also our 42nd wedding anniversary today, nice and restful, light breeze....☕️
Love this!! Great help with the recipe and mixing! Also love that you're a Rick Castle fan...lovely Nathan Fillion is a fellow Canadian and today we are celebrating Canada Day! 🇨🇦🙋💞
Beautiful! That bottom right hand corner has a stack of cascading cells. I don't think I've seen that effect so pronounced before. Cool! Thank-you for sharing :-)
You are brilliant. Thank you for demystifying the plethora of information (and misformation!) about acrylic pours. I think I know now why I get inconsistent results. I hope you are having a restorative break from TH-cam. Looking forward to your re-energized return.
Thank you sooooo much! You taught me so much. You have such a knowledgeable, friendly way of teaching that it’s a pleasure to listen to you. The pour was gorgeous! Wow! As a side note, I think Vallejo is pronounced: Val Lea Ho. 😊
Oh I would so love to win the painting, every time I see it it reminds me of a field of flowers with the sun coming up on a beautiful summer morning. It would cheer me up every day just by looking at it! You are so very generous Annemarie, with your time, your patience and all the give always, thank you! X
Thank you so much for sharing! In our monthly soap challenge, we did a soap in a fluid pour and it peaked my interest. Tried to do 3 and hardly any cells...now I know everything I did wrong! Going to the store now - so excited to try again. Thank you so much Annemarie.
I am having a hard time finding Floetrol where I live, the Home depot nor Lowes carries it...someone suggested Zinsser instead...would that work do you think?
Thank you for this video! I could not figure out why my pours were so much thinner than yours (which creates problems in getting the sides covered properly). This recipe looks perfect and I can't wait to try it. And I need to make myself a corner catcher which will help, too.
Wish I could hit the like button again. I am rewatching many of your videos and enjoying them again! Annemarie, I hope you are well and having a Happy Christmas! Hope to see new videos from you soon. Thank you!
If someone told you before I apologize. I skimmed about 100 comments to check. you can find the same paint stirs that house painters use at a hardware store and there are different sizes. One can be put into a regular handheld drill. That way you can control how fast it goes. Just a suggestion. Thanks for your great videos. I am learning a great deal from them. 😁
Zen is everything when painting. You were just grousing about how long it took you to stir a large batch of paint so I thought I'd offer a suggestion. Love your paintings and your heart. 💖💖 Peace Out!
I do have one request. When you show the paint mixture coming off the stirring stick will you show how it pours off? I can't see anything but your hand or you go off the screen. I hate to sound like I am complaining but so want to see how it comes off the stick.
Annemarie; Vallejo is Spanish and the "j" is pronounced h. Like it is pronounced (valleho). You may pronounce it different in Amsterdam. What ever you are a terrific woman and a hoot meaning funny. Cant help but love you. You are so good to give up your time to help so many of us. God Bless.
Anne, You do an excellent job of explaining the technique . Your work is always beautiful!!!! I will facebook you my first pouring it was done on black slate.
Had to have another look at this painting and to let you know that my print arrived in the mail today. I cannot wait to have it framed and hanging in my home. I love it. I would encourage all of your viewers to go to Etsy and buy one of your prints. They turn out wonderful. Hugs
THIS is the video I have needed!!!! I want to try this so badly, but just can not bring myself to invest money into products I'm not sure about. Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
Good morning! Love, Love, Love this! I can't wait to get my things together and try this one! Thanks so much for the very detailed video, it really helps!
Hi Annemarie....just discovered this method a few ago....yes I am behind the times,lol.Anyhooo..I am entralled...I FIND MYSELF COMING BACK TO YOUR VIDEOS MOST OFTEN FOR THE IMFORMATION YOU SHARE.I have not done one single pour yet...gathering all the info i can first.I have a whole notepad full of info tips ,suggestions..90 % are yours. Thanks for the explanations you give,I am so excited to do a pour !
I can research a new hobby to death too...but isn`t it fun ?....hahaha....research as much as feels good...no time limit... ♥♥♥ Thank you and thank you for watching♥♥♥
you can...join a group ...What you can do is join this group. facebook.com/groups/Acrylicpouringbasics/ I made this group so we could share and help each other. ♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥ ♥Thank you for watching ♥
The extra that Etsy adds to the price is the VAT (Value Added Tax). There may be a setting there somewhere where you can say if your prices include or exclude VAT. It will only show for EU countries where VAT is chargeable on digital goods. US, Canada etc won't pay the extra because the rules don't apply to them.
wow what a beautiful pour at the end of your video !!! I think I will definitively adopt your recipe, for the moment gloss medium miss me but this is not going to last ...............^^ all your videos are interesting but this one even more for me, you explained very well all the additives and PM and I think of having understand how they work !!!! I admit that the more exciting is when we lift the cup and see the cells pop up, but I think that the mixing (and the cleaning ..........^^) are a part of the creative process !! It's exciting (for me) to choose the colors and to imagine how they will work together. friendly béatrice
Good morning Annemarie! I really like how your pm mix works, especially with the Vallejo products. Your expirements seem to always turn out beautiful. I too say "Just a little bit" a lot. I have a story about that, but can't share it in public lol! I hope you have a wonderful day! ♡
Woke up at 1 a.m. and remembered this video. Got up, watched the video again, and mixed a batch of pouring medium. No work because of the 4th of July holiday, so after getting the rest of my sleep I'll be ready to go on some pours in the morning. :-)
I went to Michaels and the Liquitex had different labels. So imo yes they must have changed the recipe! If I would win the giveaway, I would want the Vallejo pouring medium to get ready for the the new paints! Not that I don't LOVE THE PAINTING! Just want to get started with the new paints😀. Love ya! ❤️
You are amazing and a wonderful teacher!! 🙏🍎 thank you so much for providing the mediums and paints that you use. I had no idea. And the cracking issue! Is there a product you can use to prevent cracking or we just have to do the "6 week" canvas prep. The applying... The washing... The waiting. I'm so impatient. Lol I'm going to get the exact products you mentioned. I cannot wait to do my own. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!🙏🍎🌹God Bless! Oh and you are right...I don't have a clue. I am 100% newbie to pouring. 🆕👶
Hi AnneMarie . I am an American living in Luxembourg. Funny enough, I was born in Vallejo, California. It is a Spanish name. We pronounce it Vuh LAY Oh. in Spanish its different... Bah yeh oh. (sort of). Love your videos.
Thank you so much for this great instruction video. I haven’t started yet as I don’t have the money to waste. I just have cheap craft paints and latex house paints, can I use these to start with? I want to make something for my bedroom wall. Thank you again , I have to buy some things, on a tight budget, can’t wait to try, looks like so much fun and something you’ve made yourself.
Its stunning! Your methods have come at the right time in my life. I'm struggling with depression and this makes me happy!
I have heard that more than 50 times before....I thought I was the only one to be happy watching the colours move and the cells pop....I can`t go a day without...LOL....looking at beautiful colours is powerfull......♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
Me too. Has really improved my mood.
I agree cause this makes me smile too.
Me too! Sure help's the old self esteem.

Good...you got it...thickness is the key....take one brand one PM recipe and stick to it for a while...then go and experiment.
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
Sondra Nicely no piece of art is waste..... each one is distinct regardless of whether it turned out how you wanted it to... :-)
Also I want to express my gratitude for all your teaching. As a teacher as well, I regard such generosity as the hallmark of excellent teaching. Lots of research and share it!

Thanks a lot for the additive in the paint, beacause I had some problems with the %,
now i think it will be more easy for me. your paints are lovely.

I get so much info from you! Thank you! Enjoy every video I’ve seen from you👍
Awesome! Thank you! ♥
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥

wow what a beautiful pour at the end of your video !!!

let me know how it worked?.....♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
Lovely pour...great info (both as per usual LOL).....and wishing you a beautiful day as well! 🤗

Excellent ideas. I'll have to try your formula one of these days. Pretty pour. 😊
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
Hi AnneMarie . I am an American living in Luxembourg. Funny enough, I was born in Vallejo, California. It is a Spanish name. We pronounce it Vuh LAY Oh. in Spanish its different... Bah yeh oh. (sort of). Love your videos.

I wish you tons of luck...may the pouring fairies sit on your schoulder....
