To remove wax from textiles (clothes table cloths etc ) after gently scraping or rolling the cloth to break off the thicker pieces of wax, iron the cloth using plain white paper. The wax melts and is absorbed by the paper. This procedure may be renewed with clean paper to remove any residue.

You can try vinegar or a mixture of warm water and dish soap :) But rubbing alcohol has proven to be the most effective.

As noted here, you remove the wax by scraping off the excess then using rubbing alcohol to remove. If you're trying to remove from fabrics, you can take a paper town and use an iron to transfer the wax to the paper towel - then treat with enzyme stain remover. Hope that helps!
