Okay. I don't want to be a drive by critic. THANK YOU for sharing your lives and faith. It's made a big difference in my life. I came to God and born again after 50. Praise God that he is so living and merciful. He instructed us in Leviticus 19:28 not to mark our skin.
Christians are under a new Covenant, so tattoos are a personal choice that doesn't affect our relationship with the Lord. Jesus has what can be seen as a tattoo in revelation 19. (It may be a tattoo or possibly on a sash)
@@kimbystone Many people believe that but we must Iook to Jesus' words. Hello! 🤗 Your discussions are very interesting (and I just recently found your channel)... So I thought I'd leave a bit of comment for y'all about the Baptism subject. First, I am a Christian in the conservative Mennonite culture. Secondly, this is the way I was taught, but also personally believe... Mennonites believe that young children's lives are safe in Jesus until we reach the "age of accountability." When a child reaches this age (no set age, but usually thinking 10+ and on into teen years even), and understands that they are a sinner in need of a Savior, and are willing to confess sins and commit to living a life of service to Jesus, because of redemption thru his blood; it is after this that we are Baptized. Baptism is symbolic of dying to the old life, and "burying" our sins; then being raised to a new life in Christ. It does not save us, but in a way it's like a seal on our commitment. Also, Jesus was/is our perfect example, so even tho' he didn't need to confess sins, he was baptized so that we could follow his example. And His Father God said, "Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."🕊️ This is where we are taught that making a decision to follow Christ, and being baptized, are personal decisions that need to be understood by the new believer. That is why infant baptism doesn't hold importance to us, because while we know and believe that every child is born with a sinful nature and into a sinful world, they are still "safe in innocence" in Jesus' arms. Every person is called at a different time and age. Some are called and feel conviction in their lives earlier than others. Praise the Lord for his saving grace thru faith, to each one of us! I am really enjoying hearing your thoughts on so many life and spiritual topics! Y'all have many great perspectives. Keep looking up! 💕Thanks for the thought provoking content. I totally agree with you guys. We have 4 kids and we alway broght them to the service with us. My husband and I always wanted our kids to experience our faith together with the church. I have always been a teaching tool for us to gather together, sing together, the kids watched us take communion, etc. And they believe I wanted them to see the glory of God and his faithfulness. And they do! Is such a blessing. The promises of God are true. The more we get to know God, the closer to God we get, and our faith gets stronger. And our kids see that, and they are excited to be part of it.

On the topic of modesty, I think a lot of christian’s and even pastors talk a lot about how we should dress modestly, but what goes hand and hand with that is that we need to cover our nakedness and that isn’t common to talk about, but the bible says it’s a sin to look on someone’s nakedness and nakedness in the bible is defined as your loins to your knees and that is very important that we dress and cover that skin!!

You may find this interesting with the baptism topic LOL my faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ( probably some of those in Northern Idaho haha) We do some of our worship in temples -- we get married in them (sealed for eternity (our doctrine is that God - Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother are the literal parents of our spirits and we are all literal spirit brothers and sisters -- we only pray to Heavenly Father though) and through Christ and as a married couple we have potential to eventually become like our Heavenly Parents. Anyway we get married in the temples but also perform baptisms for the dead acting as a proxy for people who have died without knowing Christ can then be taught in the spirit realm and have the opportunity to accept Christ BEFORE Judgement day so we believe spirits of our dead brothers and sister who did not get the opportunity to receive Christ while in the flesh get that opportunity in the spirit realm before judgement day. The Millenium we believe will be filled with this type of work b4 judgement. Anyway I agree and love Katie's perspective that it is Christ and not the act of baptism that saves us I also think Christ is showing us to get baptized by his example when he was baptized and we believe everyone will have that opportunity to accept Him and His gospel b4 judgement -- equal opportunity not equal outcome . (people who already accept Christ in the flesh and then die become missionaries in the spirit realm and teach those you never had that chance)
Read Leviticus 19:28 and consider we are made in His image. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit do we want graffiti on our church buildings? Read 1 Corinthians 3:16-17. Remember WWJD what would Jesus do? Would He get a tattoo?
@@claudia_christianmommy absolutely. I have a tattoo, 1, and Jesus doesn’t love me any less. I think it’s silly that some condemn and judge people for things like tattoos when Jesus wouldn’t.
Baptism is the outward expression of an inward choice. I've heard it said as a coming out as a Christian. 1Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
My pastor has a really good analogy on when you can tell your child is at the age of accountability. If you have children, you know that at bath time or whenever they don’t have clothes on, they have no shame to run around naked or aren’t ashamed if mom or dad or anybody sees them like that. When they realize their nakedness, that’s a good indicator that they’re at the age of accountability. It also mirrors the story or Adam and Eve and they knew they were naked once they ate of the fruit of the tree! So it’s really different for all children, but I would say some, if not most 6 year olds are hitting the age of accountability.

I believe Jesus would to make a point if it meant that people were teaching Christians that getting a tattoo means your going to hell.
Do you feel like your 6 year is accountable for his sin, though? 6 year olds are so changeable...
Our bodies are Holy unto the Lord. Tattoos are taboo for a Christian.
It's weird that a Bible believing church wouldn't baptize when the Bible says it's the first step of obedience.
She is obviously so hungry and not into this at all 😂
