Maybe I’m overthinking it, but this whole thing feels like it’s meant to be a metaphor for childhood SA. A “monster” that gives you a false sense of security by appearing as a family member, its actions and words appearing normal to the rest of the family but strange from an outsider’s perspective, having more serious effects on children but lingering effects in adults, affected individuals feeling a sense of fondness towards the entity despite its actions, literally ripping families apart, childhood victims developing personality disorders, being tied into religious events(specifically catholic), and many more parallels throughout. Also just the name of Cousin Johnny has implications, since cousins/uncles are some of the most common perpetrators of SA in a family setting. Or I could be over thinking it and it was just meant to be fun creepy SCP guy with no deeper meanings lol
I think what really sold it for me was the whole spiel over how everyone would just move on and ignore the obvious bizarre behaviors do nothing about it and not think twice,no critical thinking, easily swept under the rug like this is a major alarm to go off in your head.

I stumbled across The SCP foundation a long time ago and have really enjoyed it. Having Papa cover it is just a dream come true. I can only hope this turns into a long series. There are so many SCPs and Hunter is the perfect person to cover it.
This SCP has such random convoluted lore
Just when you think they have enough OP God traits, more are pulled out of a hat.
"But wait! Theres more!"
not that convoluted when you consider that this is a metaphor for child abuse (by family members, or by religious institutions)
Never realized I needed a papa meat scp series
PLEASE make this a series my guy 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Always happy to see more TH-camrs get into SCP content. I really hope you keep doing this. Maybe do the Holy Science series cause that seems right up your alley. Would also love a follow up to this about 3004 and its parasitism of Christianity.
Same here 😂 I've easily watched 1000's of hours and theres still not enough content out there 😂
Am I the only one that will watch the videos about the same SCP from different creators just to see how the cover it?
I read SCP but Idk why I never thought to look up content on them here. Do you have any recs on creators that cover them??
@@gabbiee6559Illustrated has always been my favorite but Volgun’s apparently great. Although reading them yourself is always my first recommendation. Also the SCP 096 fan film is incredible.
@@averykellogg3766 no i do that too i like to see how they adapt the wiki files 🤣 especially the long ones like house of the worm, red reality, here were dragons ect they always do different cuts from the files
This cousin Johnny is like that Rick and Morty episode where a parasite comes in the family and they think it’s part of the family.
i’m loving the mixed media content pls keep doing animations with these kinds of videos 🙏🙏
def love to see more of this, I think Meat can breath life back into the community cause this is genuinely a fun scp video
Love the aesthetic of this video from the "character" you "play" to the animations interspersed though out to break up the walls of text. One video and you're already leagues above most SCP reading channels. I would love to see more like this about SCP-610 aka the Flesh That Hates.
I don't know, I like the setup but I don't need someone reading the text of the website verbatim. Just read it beforehand and then explain it in your own words, otherwise I might as well go to the SCP website myself and read it.
Probably one of my fav episodes, I hope to see more scp content from you because you deepdive into it and make it so interesting to watch :)
Going down the old bunny trail
Lookin like a double wide surprise..
The cigarette bit at the beginning killed me for some reason lmao
12:19 infants affected by this supernatural entity could end up committing any number of grisly crimes including abusing animals, torturing small children, or worst of all, joining Occupy Wall Street
becoming a fucking commie is the true horror
Animal torture, child abuse and joint antifa are all equally depraved to me and I'm being serious
Didn't most of em like piss off to become gamergate bros or centroid idiots?
I would love to see an entire series on these, from one of my favorite creators!
Hunter, love the mash up of SCP with your animation mixed in. Keep it up my guy!
I’m glad you’re sharing the same exact reaction I had to when I first read about this scp. Flippin terrifying
MORE SCP STUFF! Your animation style and delivery is perfect for SCP stuff. Love this.
genuinely thank you for this lmfao scps interest me but i don’t like reading confusing stuff or most of the vids out there ab them are boring but love this
This was awesome, i was never scared of this scp before but you put it in a whole new terrifying perspective. Please make more!
seriously Great content. Loved the animation integration. Might be one of my favourite papa meat vids
I love the animations. They really bring the story to life. Can't wait for the next one!
As a big SCP fan I really enjoyed both your take on them as well as the animations in your wonderfully twisted style!
no cap every video in the past year has been BANGING
Please do more, this format and your character are so perfect for the topic
YES FINALLY AN SCP VIDEO
Love this! SCPs are so horrific and fascinating, I'd love to see SCP-1128 next!
1:06 first cigarette?
Been listening to SCP’s for about a decade now. Love that you’re covering them. These things need to be discovered by the mainstream so we can finally get some good scp movies.
I'm so happy you're diving into SCPs. I can't wait for more.
SCP 1981 would be a FANTASTIC one to review.
Kinda reminds me of the rick and morty episode where a bunch of parasites take on the form of random characters and inject themselves into everyone's memories trying to make them think back to memories which causes the parasites to multiple. And then rick turned himself into a pickle, funniest thing I've ever seen.
I was just thinking that
The fanfic could be inspired by that episode since both are from 2015
@@n4ughty_knight holy shit that's when the episode aired!? Im olddd it feels like not that long ago
Mortttyyyy
I’m walking here!!
“So the SCP won’t let me be, so everybody come follow me” 😂
There's actually a tale where a Cousin Johnny event intersects with a Laugh is Fun broadcast hijack; and _two SCP monsters_ start a passive-agressive tug of war over taking over a family get-together.
It's horrifying but also hilarious to see these monsters hit a speedbump: Eachother.
Please do more content like this, I absolutely loved this. Thank you Papa Meat, this was fantastic. Would you being willing to cover SCP-4975, it's a real creepy one!
Passing out drunk and waking up hungover with this playing is a pretty crazy time
In my head its just Vincent Di'nofrio in Men In Black up on that stage giving a bug speech
Papa never fucking misses. This content he's putting out is unreal.
Please do more of these. This is great
i enjoy this incorporation of the animations with the video, very clever.
I need Papa Meat to keep doing SCP content like a starving man who sees Wagyu in the desert. I shall murder for the meat.
I sure do love some SCP meat thanks papa meat!
PLEASE do more of these. I love SCPS but every TH-camr that covers them are always so stiff and analytical. It’s such a nice change of pace to hear you break this one down. You are perfect for this
This is the high quality content the world needs. Please more SCP stuff exactly like this don't change a thing!
Please make this a series, please make this a series, please make this a series, please make this a series
The priest just mortified after Ole Johnny ate the face off a baby
Cousin Johnny is just wendigoon
I'm glad more people are getting into these. There's thousands of them and I feel like they're not talked about enough
Papa Meat and SCPs were made for each other
We need a whole Creepcast episode of you and Windagoon covering various SCPs
Maybe Markiplier could get involved? He got me into SCPs!
Such a fun vibe of content feels like cryptkeeper/goosebumbs in the opener, please do more of these :)
As a Johnny I can confirm, this is what we do. I look forward to seeing you all at the next family get-together.
If you want an SCP to animate messed up stuff with, then definitely "The Aristocrats" is the one
I really hope this becomes a full series, I love SCP and Papa Meat. The two together is awesome
The first SCP story that comes to mind for Papa Meat would be "When Day Breaks"
It is one of the proposed SCP-001, and in my opinion, one of the most horrific
Omg YES! The body horror, the psychological stories of the voices, and the sheer impact is something I could see animated in Papa’s style as well.
dude love the small animations going along with your narration!
