I marched with Shahim when I was at Hampton University and played with him in the Fort Washington Symphonic Winds in Oxon Hill. Great percussionist, amazing person. He will be greatly missed. #RIPSHAHIM

Shahim was my percussion instructor back when I was a student at Oxon Hill High School. And I just graduated this year. I am currently at Berklee College of Music which Shahim inspired me. My Alma Mater is doing a halftime show in dedication to him I wish I could make it and participate but thank you so much
