- Using Dollar Tree items, I create these cute 4th of July or Memorial Day decorations. SO patriotic! Find out how I make this little red Radio Flyer wagon out of Dollar Tree supplies. Then I make firecrackers out of this surprise DT item to fill the little red wagon. Finally, I make a large patriotic book stack with a coastal/beachy flair. I had so much fun with these projects. I agree. The skinny font is so cute but it is hard for me to weed. It seems like the smaller you need the letters the harder it gets but it is rewarding when I don’t give up on it. Love your ideas.

I loved everything you did! My fav was the book stack! Here’s part of why.
I used a crate and painted the bottom & first stripe Red, then the 2nd White then the top which is now the bottom, blue. I used A slightly lighter Red and blue. Looking at the side, all I saw was the French Flag lol lol I couldn’t unsee that lol It was over, ruined. I’ll send it to France 🇫🇷 😂

Three colors I used painting those thick chunky wood stars that DT and Family Dollar DO have that turned out absolutely Beautiful we’re Folk Art!
Folk Art Multi Surface Satin Paint in Wicker White, Apple Red & Cobalt Blue! For some reason they just scream ‘Merica! lol
Loved all your projects.. Just a couple of hints. Instead of throwing away your paint you can add just a little bit of water to help thin it out. And the fire crackers you could have covered the bottom first by making the circle bigger and then covering the sides.

I would have used a contrast red, white, or blue paper inside the box so that the stars at the end of the box would have contrasting color showing.
That is a GREAT idea. Where I have it you probably couldn't see it or I would pull it out and add it. LOL

Just a FYI if u put water into Any water based paint it will thin it out no problems at all. Wish u had not thrown it away but now u will know for the next time.

When your chalk gets thick,add small amounts of water to get it back to desired consistancy. It doesnt affect the look or coverage!

This is very clever! You are brilliant! I would love to make this since I already have the supplies except the toy truck. When it comes to painting, I use the dollar tree baking rack. They also have the small wire grid kind of basket shape like a little square for allowing paint to dry on my vase.

Idea for the fire crackers, keep the paper a bit long on the end and fold it in like you would if you were rolling coins 😁 You tossed away Waverly paint!🤦♀️Oh my, my heart sank! Next time just add a touch of water and shake the crap out of it and the paint will return to normal 😁
That’s a great idea on the firecrackers. I don’t know about that paint. It had chunks of crud in it as well. 😂 It was pretty bad.

All my wavered white gets really thick when I have about 1/4 left so I added at little water to the jar and mixed it well. Another crafter told me it happens if you dont shake it good enough before each use

Thank you. I googled the logo, brought the image into design space, then deleted the background.
Put painted stuff on wax paper they don't stick

doesn't have to be as long as you remove background. I do have a great website that i use that you can turn anything into a svg. pngtosvg.com

My Waverly paints always dry out, even though im anal about keeping the lid on right & even if I've only used it once. I had finally got a bunch of them because all crafters love them & i was highly disappointed.
Mine do too. I add water to them and shake well. Seems to help a lot. Also kinda switched to the tiny containers.
