I'm so glad I found you guys , both Jocko & Echo , you guys inspire me .I'll never forget what Jocko said on one of the podcasts , quote "It's ok to be afraid so embrace that fear , face the demons & get to know them , but don't kill your demons , keep them both , your demons & Angels ,keep them in check .And get after it .
Can you believe we get to listen to these for free, just on the internet any time we want this content? What a world and what a human in Jocko, can't get enough of these.
Most Westerners won't ever learn these truths, about N. Korea, Rwanda, and the like. They won't know pure evil, oppression, suffering, mass starvation, mass executions, enslavement...and that's a damned shame. You can't begin to truly appreciate the light without knowing the darkness. Fantastic first half. Second half on pause, for now.
Someone please make an edit of Jocko talking about pushing the rock. I want that to be my alarm in the morning. I want to hear that every day for the rest of my life!!
❤you’re absolutely correct jocko. America 🇺🇸 is the greatest country where I’ve accomplished the American dream thx 🙏🏻 I love this country ❤much love and respect bro-from most beautiful McKinney Texas
I feel like I’m listening to a podcast about Cuba. I remember when I had children in the school I taught PE who I couldn’t involve in physical play bc what they had for breakfast was cup of sugar water..This is our reality..we worry about what to call our holidays while people in the world worry about what to put in their soup..
What other podcasts have a similar feel and cover a similar range of subjects to this podcast? Love the black and white filter more podcasts should do this.
EC, you guys need a contact link on the jockopodcast website, I know there's one on the web store and at echelon front but it would be nice if there was a general contact link for the podcast, having said that, you guys are doing a great service and an incredible job with the podcast, love everything about it!
Thank you so much for this Podcast I finished listening to it today 11/3/2016;. Just last night I was having a discussion with my husband about someone we know....We touched on a particular incident that the friend told us that happened to him. I told my husband that our friend has a big ego ( and he does). and of course my husband disagreed with me; ... However, after listening to you today and how you described Overthinkers and that is the friend to the HILT.
the book is awesome -highly recommend. Interestingly enough, many will overlook this book because the idea of accepting responsibilty and becoming a better person/leader hasnt occurred to them. (especially the acceptance part) read the book its outstanding.
Thank you for your service! I think there is a huge misconception about SEALS. The un-informed believe once you pass BUDS, SEAL life becomes a good old time team. The informed know SEAL training never ends. It would be highly informative and beneficial to young men wishing to join the elite, if you would quantify the fallout from the end of BUDS, to earning the Trident, thru selection to a team. Young men today believe "getting hard" is something below the belt, not the highly tuned fighting man our country is blessed with protecting our liberty, a "US Navy SEAL".
1:10:48 - I might have to disagree here, Echo. Grew up in a very very very rough, abusive, and poor household. When I went into the world as an adult, it's more like: "Finally, I am free! I can do whatever I want! No more of this shadow looming over me!" And fucking ripped myself out of poverty and that mindset of "woe-is-me" and GOT TO FUCKING WORK.
Hey Jocko, just getting to this one & to start talking about other countries and how they start at such an early age with mind control and it's basically wipe out any individuality or any will you have to be to think beyond what you're talking mind control it's what's happening right here in our country brother is happening in a big way communism sneaking into the back door and somehow it got into the school's... Keep up the good fight and thank you!!
The pandemic really taught me what this kind of controlled lifestyle is like. No one can ever tell me I don’t know what it’s like again because I do. Right down to not being allowed out of my house.
I think you should start calling out individuals who comment& support you guys at the end of the show. "Anthony! I see you, stop being a weak fuck& keep grinding!" Throws that personal touch into motivation. By the way, I randomly thought of Anthony, so no disrespect if there's one below.
I remember listening to this when it came out. Had to come back searching for the bit at 0:56:08 -- th-cam.com/video/a-e_H6Skifc/w-d-xo.html It's a powerful story worth referencing, I think.
+Leif Viking I understand do I respect some of the things that happen during war ? No I don't and there is no justification of this but sometimes war is brutal and most of those kids are normal kids yet there parents will kill them in a second to save themselves it is a sad reality
Overthinking is not about ego it’s about mental health or dyslexia both professionals taught me about this. Mental health is complex you use disabilist languished through your talking please change this it’s very negative especially if you have arm services who are disabled physically, mentally or a learning disability.
I just would have felt a lot better had they had taken the time to ask one person or two who really honestly knew me knew my name knew what I was about knew what I believed in what I cared about because it would have saved them a whole lot of problems when they would have found out that fear and intimidation won't work with that woman you can try all day long that's not going to work with her but still everyday they continue to try
If you gain muscle real fast you can lose it real fast.... yeah, because if you gain muscle real fast you've been hitting those juicy vitamins HARD. Its not possible to gain muscle real fast with the exception of the first year of real training, preferably in your late teens, perhaps early 20s. Physiology just doesn't work any other way. Its a shame steroids are illegal because it ties peoples hands when it comes to talking about them. If you're in the public eye you can't just come out and show working knowledge of an illicit substance but this gives new lifters a false perspective of what is possible. UFC fighters, first responders, armed forces, athletes, Instagram models and fitness influencers, the bro at the gym; its warping peoples minds. There are exceptions of course but they are truly exceptional.

Be free, don’t sleep, eat meat, repeat.
DANG what a way to help us really feel this truth!!! Bringing it down to Earth for us in an almost tangible way
Most Westerners won't ever learn these truths, about N. Korea, Rwanda, and the like. They won't know pure evil, oppression, suffering, mass starvation, mass executions, enslavement...and that's a damned shame. You can't begin to truly appreciate the light without knowing the darkness.
Fantastic first half. Second half on pause, for now.
Absolutely right!! I appreciate my life so much more now!!
did you finish the 2nd half? and did you read the book that Jocko is reading in the 1st half?
Find Glory in the struggle. Jocko nails it again with Sisyphus analogy! Well done sir.
Someone please make an edit of Jocko talking about pushing the rock. I want that to be my alarm in the morning. I want to hear that every day for the rest of my life!!
+Dan Peters Learn and make it happen, nothing stopping you but yourself.
It's really not that hard. Any basic/free movie software can do it.
This is a very important episode. Thank you Jocko.
Coming back in 2021 to get some!
Just rewatched the beginning in keeping with the looming spectre of a possible 2nd Korean War. May God shed his mercy on the North Korean people.

You have my attention.

I find him reading such calming and it's a weird thing to me
especially when it's over&about such unbelievable material. if I had a vagina it'd probably be a little wet. lol.
I think about the children he shot point blank..

Don't take this the wrong way, but your monologue in the first 5 minutes is like you're auditioning to play modern day Col. Kurtz
The worst thing about this is, nothing is done to stop it. Probably will always stay this way. Shame on us!
When. I start to feel like a lazy bitch I watch this podcast and I go workout. Holla!
It's the book 1983!!!!!
Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea by Barbara Demick
🏆🏆
Ask Echo?
You got the flu? do jiu jitsu!, not feeling well? do jiu jitsu!, bad break up? do jiu jitsu!
finally
Echo playing with his pen is itching my OCD
i'm surprised more people don't speak out
obviously, jocko is talking to infatuated sheep

Day 22
A glimpse into the distopian nightmare of a Bernie Sanders presidency.
blindly bending the knee=bad
Dang what a hell😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
It's the biggest cult!! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
JOCKO/ ECHO = SOCRATES/ PLATO
Fighting the korean war seems warranted now. Difficult to listen to kids suffering.
Echo Charles experiences are downright laughable. A 5 years old tells better stories at recess.
Pray for North Korea😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I like getting mind control "talks" from a man who old position will be replaced by a robot soon.
go back and listen to the podcast
