Thank You. Common Man’s Band “We’re Nationwide” with native Texans, what you see, is what you get.
Guys, I’m here to tell ya, Billy, Dusty and Frank were the most genuine, humbled guys you could met. Living near me, on the weekend, they would just show up to jam and talk music. It was a magical time.
Y’all should check out interviews. Billy remains a great inspiration.

I had a buddy in Houston up near Spring but still in Houston. Lost touch but Kenny seemed to know where ZZ Top would hang out at different places with big yards/land doing jam sessions outdoors working on next albums while random people showing up with coolers full of beer and people bbq'ing over campfires randomly. I went to keg parties like that but never a famous band setting. Just the Aiwa Deck blasting a cassette player or FM radio. Both were fun. FM radio was something else then. Fresh and random could happen at any time.

That's funny, because when I saw ZZ-TOP in the title, I immediately said "yes! They're back with the common man's band."

    I highly recommend it.

fun fact: DEGÜELLO.The degüello, music played by the Mexican army bands on the morning of March 6, 1836, was the signal for Antonio López de Santa Anna's attack on the Alamo. The word degüello signifies the act of beheading or throat-cutting and in Spanish history became associated with the battle music, which, in different versions, meant complete destruction of the enemy without mercy.

Oh man, I love where it gets so funky at the end, they just absolutely tear it up. That's insane. You guys have got to hear Heard It On The X, which I think is from their Fandango album. It's actually a bit autobiographical but it is so tight and it is an absolute banger.
Funny side story, I went to a biker wedding years ago and the bride had kind of a tough-looking hippie dress on and was beautiful, and then the groom, who was formerly in a California chapter of the Hells Angels, but now back home, did not have a tux on but he did have one of those t-shirts where it has an image of a tux and a bow-tie printed on the front of it, it was so surreal and wonderful.
And then the song as they did the wedding procession, was actually ZZ Top Sharp Dressed Man, laugh. That whole thing was such a party.

If you'd like to check out some ZZ Top live then I'd recommend going way back and get familiar with their 1975 LP "Fandango". One side is Live and the other side is studio tracks. It was the 1st ZZ album I bought as a 15 yr old. Absolutely love their tune "Blue Jean Blues" off that classic early LP. Maybe a full album reaction is in store. Total play time is only 34 minutes. As usual gentleman another kicka$$ reaction.

One of my favorites is Waitin' For A Bus/Jesus Left Chicago or "Heard It on the X." The X was a rock station out of Mexico. 100,000 watts of power and blasting music across Texas, into Kansas, and across the SouthWest.

You Just can't go wrong with ZZ Top, they never made a bad album, some I like more than others with Tres Hombres my favorite, mainly as that tour in 1973 was the first of a bunch of times seeing them. We had little clue who they were back then and when the light went down, Billy Gibbons literally skipped across the stage and started playing the heaviest blues rock we had ever heard, the crowd was electrified by these 3 guys and yet another great band had taken off. Try Just Got Paid Today, studio or live, it was always a killer track. The little ole band from Texas, became a forever band as they are loved and respected, world wide. That whole album is great. Right up y'all's alley. Their first six albums are. You can just pick a random song from any of them and hear some great music.
The song Hot Blue and Righteous from the Tres Hombres album is a good one that gets overlooked Imo.
But I love all their music, even the more current stuff.
    Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍👋

That solo is deceptively hard to replicate, I know, I had to learn it back in my cover band days. ZZ songs were always a crowd pleaser.

Tripped me up with that. If I had the choice of any woman in the world or grandma riding next to me in a cool car. Grandma wins. We would ride in style to a fancy dinner at 2:30pm. Miss her.

After 100 years I finally realize what they were saying. I never made out the word Nationwide!
When you grow up listening to songs on the radio you have to guess a lot of lyrics - many wrong until hearing the right ones decades later.

More than anything their 70's catalog kicked ass and took names! Brown Sugar would be an awesome reaction to do from their first album.
