How to Walk on Lava and 4 Other Clever Troll Setups - Vol. 1

- Super Mario Maker 2 has an endless amount of trolls and I decided that since you can't download other creators' levels, I would make a video going over 5 cool troll setups of some recently played levels. 1:36 I think an easier way to center the muncher is by getting rid of the contraption, placing the blasters one block above the muncher, have the muncher on the ground, and have a smaller muncher underneath the large muncher. When you start the game, the large muncher will be centered but the small muncher has been spawned out because it was placed in the ground tiles.
I'd love to see danny make a troll level.. ohh wait I've tried his levels

I don't play them on stream because they're usually very long levels and I like to only spent 10-15 min per level max on stream so I can play as many as possible

Please keep doing this! I started in Smm2 so I never had the chance to pull crazy levels into editor. This helps immensely will level building and i cant thank you enough for showing the little details that make them work.

The first setup has an easier setup, place slopes under the lava(not high up), and then place a bill blaster on the slope, extend it untill it reaches the top of the lava. If you enter in a pipe you see some blasters sinking making you think it kills you, it does not

I suggest not stealing good trolls, since people will have seen them before. If you do steal them, then at least put a unique twist on them.
Just Started Watching This Series (2 Videos) and Honestly this explains why i Want to Get a Switch with Mario Maker 2 because i have a soft spot for games with Build your own Contraptions since I started Minecraft in 2013

If you don't want to see thr chain chomps dying, do this setup instead:
Have 2 or 3 (3 is better) munchers at the bottom. Then, add bullet bill blasters depending on the height of the lava. They have to reach the op of the lava. when you press play, the blasters will fall down a little since munchers aren't the size of a full block and you'll be able to walk on it without seeing anything!

there are so many ways to do the lava walking setup, the best way to do it is with a blue platform on a curved track with a cannon on top, it's one of the least entity intensive ones
You could also use Bullet Bills on Slopes for the walking on lava troll, this costs you less enemies.

for the first one you can also put a launcher on a slope (this lets you go lower into the lava but not so low that you die)
I found a way to go on lava safely in Super Mario World theme before watching this video

heya i know this is an old vid but i rlly wanna know how to make mario move at the speed of light like in the level that swanky zone played!
I have a question, although I'm not sure if you've answered it in another video (I haven't seen all of them). So, in WilfredTheBoss's level, "Best of WilfredTheBoss 2019", he shows off some of his best troll sections he has made (Level ID 6T0-NK2-PQG). Before the first checkpoint, there is a setup where a bullet bill blaster pops up from the floor and pushes you away from the checkpoint. I have been unable to figure out how he was able to do this, although I assume it has something to do with thwomps and seesaw platforms. Could you explain how he did this setup?

Anyone know how to place items below the bottom of the screen? When I try doing that it either doesn't allow it or if it does allow it, it ruins the scroll lock. But I've seen it done in troll levels.

The blaster overlaps the icicle, it's not on top of it. But yes, anything that's actually placed off screen is done with custom scroll and scroll stop in some way, depending on where the items need to be placed
Does 0:54 create a softlock? Does it also work with poison?

The first troll has a another way of doing it all you have to do is put bullet bill blasters on slopes but make sure the top is just above the liquid because it will sink a little so you can walk on it but not see it

nothing is known at the moment, at least if you just mean a pipe that looks normal without causing damage first
@@DannyBPlays I was looking for the kind of set up where getting the mushroom is the troll and you cannot progress due to being too big.

however, this won't work in sm3dw because mario can walk while crouching.
Mr Drake, I believe he wanted a way to just block big mario from entering, I assume your outline here is just making a setup that prevents big mario from squeezing through? There are plenty of ways to force damage on the player if he's big to make him small but I think he was hoping for a cleaner/quicker method
The first one can be done with bullet blasters on slopes.

I would love to see videos on how to make contraptions that can be used in non-troll ways with out glitch exploits that still confuse people as to what to do. Creative ways to prevent progress in a level until certain actions are done.
question in 58Q-YWQ-SFG HOW do I progress and how are these trolls set up? there's no video on this this just one level where I am confused.
All of these contraptions can be used for non-troll ways, even the left-to-right machine can teach you how to allow switches to get triggered and how to block them in certain circumstances

know how to make shaking ground: first, get rocky renches. Step 2 pet them in the ground or they will get squished by the blasters. Step 3make the rocky renches winged like this they will hop.WELL THATS IT
this troll level contains no glitches carlsagan42 15:10 changes on /off so stuff is different after you enter the pipe.

It has to do with custom autoscroll. I don't know how to do it, so you might have to look up a custom autoscroll guide
