I just hope and pray these young men realize, that if they train like champions, play like champions. Like Johnny Rogers, their names will be in uncountable conversations for decades and decades. Husker Nation, our celebrities are Husker football players. But being infamous takes daily pounding of your craft. It will not come easy. Nobody who has won a National title will ever say, it was easy. Just the opposite. God rewards hard work. GBR!!!
I have 9-4 which includes a Bowl Win for Year One. The First Two are Important as there are only 3 Road Games after September 9. So if we get Minnesota and Colorado we are set up for Very Interesting Run. And BTW. He is the PERFECT Coach for Husker Nation Right Now. Go Big Red.
I catch a lot of crap over it but I seriously believe as you we will have a 9 win regular season record and will get to 10 with a Bowl Game Victory. Just the odds alone say we are way past due for someone spectacular to go our way. If we can develop good O and D lines and smart play penalty limited ball, and NOT TURN THE BALL OVER...BUT TAKE IT AWAY.....well lets just say.....we are long past due for great things to go our way ...anything is possible. This is why I chose Nebraska after leaving Alabama after following them for 40 years. Nebraska has that work ethic not I'm owed the position. That is what makes the players be devoted. Work work work. That is what brings forth success.
I disagree. Most players are extremely overtrained. Work work work. Will kill a program and make them lose. There is no correlation between team strength in the weight room and wins.

When they don't get it, then they tuck their tails and run. There is no devotion to the team. It's all about self. When Saban finally started last year coming down on his players because of how they acted on the field, those players picked up their marbles and ran somewhere else. It's a difference in the South and the North. I live in the south and have for 65 years, but I prefer to put my allegiance in Nebraska. Alabama used to be like what I see in Nebraska, but it started changing 10 years ago, and especially 3 years ago, it started getting worse. Last year was the worst I've seen, Alabama. I'm excited to see what Nebraska does. That allegiance im talking about in Nebraska, the newest recruit from Nebraska, wanted by all the best schools, but he chose Nebraska. My type of player.
I gotta admit, having been witness to every one of those exciting plays dating clear back to "Man, Woman and Child " in the Bob Father era....I had a tear come to my eye near the end of the video. You cannot understand what the Nebraska Football team means to our state, having no pro sports teams to cheer for its what binds us together and has always represented the people of the state, in the dirt, tough, hard working, down to earth people who care very little for flash but do care about "in the deed the glory" we care about honesty, fair play, going that extra mile not because we have to but because we are not afraid to give our all. These values have sadly slipped away since Coach Osborne & Coach Solich were on the job. We let ourselves be steered away from who we are and what made us the very best in the entire country. Matt Ruhle has seen that and fully intends to right the ship if you will, put us back on the only course of success we have ever known..."if it ain't broke you don't go trying to fix it " Heres to hope and the future that Coach Ruhle will get us back to where we all who have lived through the tough times, the Good Times and the more recent bad times know we belong. I DOUBT VERY MUCH THE REST OF THE COUNTRY BELIEVES OR IS READY FOR THIS BUT ITS LIKE FINALLY REAL FOOTBALL GUYS ARE BACK IN CHARGE OF THINGS from the administration, to Trev Alberts, and Coach Ruhle and his staff and we know the rest of the country is in for a gigantic surprise and I doubt they are ready for it. Go Big Red....

Remember when every year we was he different teams in a BCS national? Now it's just reruns of games we have already seen and do not cares about. SEC screwed out a lot of teams. Oklahoma State being a good example. Nebraska don't have this kind of help. All they have is heart. I'll take a team with heart over sponsors any day
